Talents
There are two primary and distinct Talent builds for Tariq currently. Chain Lightning and Schism. While Schism will typically be your go-to end game build, Chain Lightning is still an option for the early game despite it being nerfed a bit in November's patches. The Talent builds are as follows:
Schism Build (End Game)
This is the Schism build that is performing best right now in the endgame. Recently changed to using Left Hand Path full time as it adds a ton of damage to Tariq's kit in his weak windows when he's not hammer storming or in Thunder Call / ult window.

The final Talent point should go into a defensive either Pneuma or Magic Ward depending on what Dungeon you're doing and what level of Dungeons you are running. This is required for high Eternal pushing. While farming gear in low Eternal you can opt for whatever extra damage Talent you wish. You will remove Crack The Sky for Magic Ward if you need the defensive.
For the most part Magic Ward is used at the higher level while Pneuma is used at the lower levels (you can still interchange Magic Ward and Pneuma in higher dungeons depending on if there's a lot of magic damage you need reduced or not. If you're doing dungeons where 10% magic DR is a must (Stormwatch, Cithrils, Wraithtide) as a few examples, go with Magic Ward. If you're doing a Dungeon where 10% magic DR isn't as needed you can go with Pneuma if you need more defense, or just opt for going a talent that gives more damage.
Far Beyond Driven is great for more Ultimates and Spirit resets if you think you can keep it up for the majority of the dungeon. Bloodline and High Road are decent options if you need mobility or more Fury generation, but Fury generation is never really a problem.
Lightning Build (Early Game)
The more simplistic spec to play early game while learning Tariq, this was the go-to build before the November 13th changes. While it is still viable, the Schism spec just out performs it in the end game, but this spec is still very good from early Contender through Paragon while you're learning the character.

This build is very straight forward, and the same defensive choice applies to it as the Schism build. (Refer to the Schism build for more info on this)
You can play this build as you start a fresh character and then make the swap to Schism when you hit Eternal or earlier if you wish.
