Stat Priority
The Stat priority for Elarion is as follows:
- Item level / Agility
- Haste/Spirit
- Crit/Expertise
Item level is king in Fellowship as main stat has the greatest effect on your damage, healing and survivability.
Haste ticks every box on Elarion. It lowers your cast times, gives Heartseeker Barrage and Starfall Volley extra hits, and increases focus generation.
Expertise is a simple stat that increases our damage and healing.
Critical Strike simply provides the chance to double the damage of your abilities.
Spirit effectively decreases the cooldown of your ultimate. Gives you a chance to refund the focus spent on spenders and when it refunds applies 5 stacks of Lunarlight Mark on your target and up to 2 stacks on up to 2 enemies near them.
Weapon Traits
Due to the random nature of Weapon Traits, it can be a game of cat and mouse trying to get the ideal weapon tree. You have two offensive rows, two defensive rows and a major capstone, with multiple options in each row for different pathing up the tree. With that in mind, you can start to see how gaining access to a BiS set-up might prove tricky. Don’t be afraid to use some materials to reroll Traits if you need to. However, it is advised to wait until you have an Eternal weapon before attempting to reroll the major capstone trait due to the rarity of Legend Godstones.
Below I’ll separate and list the ideal weapon traits for each type.
Master Traits (Asha's Chronoshift Bow)

The synergy between Visions Of Grandeur and Asha's Chronoshift Bow make it the easy pick for best trait on the weapon. The extra ultimate charge and resets from using your ultimate, that then feeds back into itself allow you to get 1-2 more ultimates per dungeon depending on dungeon length and timings. If you haven't found Visions Of Grandeur yet, look for Sapphire Aurastone or Martial Initiative in that order.
Master Traits (Void-Touched Bow)

Visions Of Grandeur is our best choice for Void-Touched Bow since we are running a spirit build and going for a lot of big damage windows via our ultimate Event Horizon. Visions Of Grandeur allows us to charge our ultimate faster and potentially line up double weapon burst windows on bosses or priority mobs with our ult outputting a crazy amount of damage.
Heroic Traits

Inspired Allegiance and Willful Momentum are the clear BiS heroic traits for Void-Touched Bow at the moment. Willful Momentum is probably our best heroic trait, it procs every time we get a spirit refund and 50% of those refunds trigger a Heartseeker Barrage reset via Chain Of Starstriker's Ascent giving us mainstat for the new empowered barrage taking full advantage of the trait. Inspired Allegiance reduces our weapon cooldown when it procs and gives us a small amount of haste which is always nice, the reason it's BiS on Void-Touched Bow is it allows us to set up double weapon usages in ult. Make sure to let the first void application trigger before you use it again or it will be consumed by the first application. If you are running Asha's Chronoshift Bow I recommend Kindling over Inspired Allegiance since Allegiance doesn't allow you to fully reset the weapon before ulting again essentially providing you no benefit outside of the minor haste proc.
Defensive Traits

Pre-season 2 introduced two new insane defensive traits: Ancestral Intervention and Against All Odds. Ancestral Intervention acts as a cheat death, if you take damage that would kill you it sets you to one hp and makes you immune to damage for 5 seconds, each rank reduces the cooldown time on it. Against All Odds reduces damage by 25% / 30% / 35% / 40% when you would take damage that does more than 40% of your max life in a single hit. King Of The Hill is the next best giving you percent damage reduction while above 80% hp helping to mitigate one shots and some sustained damage making it a nice pairing with either of the S-tier traits.
Gems & Gem Builds
The Gem System in Fellowship is fairly unique. You can obtain powerful gems to attach to sockets in your gear, which gives you Gem Power that enables different Gem Bonuses. There are multiple Gem sizes that provide you with more Gem Power. You can combine 3 of the same gem type and size using Gem Fusion (Master Craftsman Braggi NPC) to create a gem of the next size up.
It’s worth noting that some socketed gear can additionally drop with a 35% gem power increase (100% for a Legendary). This makes it so you’ll want to prioritize socketing higher quality gems into these items. For example, Legendaries come with a 100% increased gem power socket, making it ideal for your larger gems.
Gem Types & Bonuses
The Gem types each follow a pattern of the type of bonus they provide, a simplification of the Gems is shown in the table below.
| Gem Type | Gem Bonus |
| Ruby | Main Stat / Boss Combat Buffs |
| Amethyst | Critical Strike |
| Topaz | Haste |
| Emerald | Expertise |
| Sapphire | Stats during Ultimate Ability |
| Diamond | All Secondary Stats |
Because of how gem power works in the game, we want to socket our gems as efficiently as possible. In the beginning it's recommended to socket an array of gems first to get the most bonuses possible and then specialize your gems to hit breakpoints as you craft the more powerful gems.
When we first start socketing gems they will be Smalls/Larges and not provide a lot of gem power, so the best thing to do is spread them out. For example 3 Small Topaz gems give 360 power which is under the 480 you need for the 3rd Topaz gem node, this wastes a whole gem worth of power and only grants: 100 stamina, 100 haste, and 3% haste during execute (sub 30%).
However, if we spread those out to be 1 Ruby, 1 Amethyst, 1 Diamond, we would get: 3% agility above 80% health, 10% crit when hitting monsters above 50%, and 0.5% of each secondary stat, a much better value of the sockets and gems available.
Gem Priorities
Now that you have a better understanding of gems and gem power below is a general progression guide of the nodes you should try and hit.
Starting Gem Power Setup
One small gem of as many different gem types as possible to spread out the bonuses, example is provided below. However you obviously aren't expected to have 6 sockets this early. The strongest first nodes for Elarion in order are: Amethyst, Ruby, Emerald, Topaz, Diamond, Sapphire.
Blessing of the Virtuoso
The first big goal is going to replace the Smalls and get Blessing Of The Virtuoso, the 5th Topaz node requiring 960 total Gem Oower. This will give you a total of 7% haste, 3% additional haste in execute, a small recovery node, and 100 stamina. This only requires 3 Large Topaz, 1 in your Legendary and 2 elsewhere (4 Large Topaz socketed anywhere if you don't have your Legendary yet). If you have additional sockets and gems adding back Amethyst and Ruby will net you even more damage.
Ancestral Surge II
The next goal and probably the first one you'll have to farm for/be well into Eternal for is to add Ancestral Surge - II while maintaining the Blessing Of The Virtuoso bonus. There is no Gem Calculator picture for this step since there are several different ways to do it depending on how many sockets you have and whether or not they have the 35% bonus.
The best way I have found to maintain Blessing Of The Virtuoso with as little sockets as possible to make room for Ancestral Surge - II. Is by having 2 Splendid Topaz, 1 socketed in your Legendary and 1 in another piece. If you can manage to put it in a 35% essence bonus socket you will also pickup Adrenaline Rush - II which is a nice addition to Elarion's execute damage.
We have a max of 5 sockets to work with to get Ancestral Surge - II which needs 1200 gem power. Below are the different ways to do it with different amounts of socket pressure assuming no socket bonuses:
- 5 Sockets: 5x Large Sapphire (if you can manage to get 2 Splendid Sapphire socket those and 2 Large which will open up a socket for a Large Ruby or Large Diamond giving you more damage).
- 4 Sockets: 2x Splendid Sapphire and 2x Large Sapphire.
- 3 Sockets: 2x Splendid Sapphire (in 35% socket bonuses) and 1x Large Sapphire (no socket bonus required).
- (less than 3 sockets for the Sapphires becomes unreasonable and would require Flawless gems).
BIS Gem Set-ups
There are two leading BiS gem setups. One keeps a major set bonus (usually Drakheim's Absolution), the other drops all set bonuses allowing for more gem power. Both will be shown below. The first setup is with one major set bonus (Drakheim's Absolution) and 8 gem sockets, 5 of which need to have the 35% bonus socket power on them (can use a normal socket with the Splendid Ruby or Splendid Diamond but you lose the defensive and the extra 35% sockets on the Splendid Sapphires just add more damage via overcapping the gem power). The second setup with no major set bonus and 10 gem sockets, needs 8 of them to have the 35% bonus socket power on them.
