Playstyle Overview
Elarion is a ranged DPS who utilizes powerful volleys and barrages to deal massive damage. He revolves around a builder / spender rotation with Focus as his resource. Focus is displayed as a bar below your character and you’ll use this to cast his array of abilities.
Depending on what build you’re running, your priority changes. Your goal is essentially to aim to get everything on cooldown.
Leveling and Highwind Arrow Rotation
Here’s what your rotational priority should look like early on while we are using a Highwind Arrow build.
Note: This assumes you have Fervent Supremacy talented for Skystrider's Supremacy. If you don't, you need to Multishot immediately after hitting it to get all three casts in before you lose the buff.

Heartseeker Barrage Rotation
Here’s what your rotational priority should look like after swapping to the Heartseeker Barrage build.
Note: This assumes you have Fervent Supremacy talented for Skystrider's Supremacy. If you don't, you should delay it until the "Empowered Multishot" step in the rotational priority and use any barrage resets you get from Chain of the Starstriker's Ascent as soon as you get them don't worry about the Skystrider's Supremacy buff. You also might be able to squeeze in a Multishot after your barrage channel if you proc on the first Multishot and your haste is high enough (usually when all cd's are popped).

The reason we don't Starfall Volley before Heartseeker Barrage in AoE is that we want to maximize the chance we consume Lunarlight Mark with Heartseeker Barrage in order to trigger the Lunarlight Salvo eruption effect. If you proc Chain Of Starstriker's Ascent use that barrage and any Celestial Impetus procs you get until the Lunarlight Mark is off the enemy, or you run out of Heartseeker Barrage resets. Then cast Starfall Volley, ideally within 10 seconds of opening up on a pack. This can be mentally taxing especially if you are new to Elarion so don't be affraid to just Starfall Volley after your first Heartseeker Barrage until you get comfortable and want to optimize.
In AoE whenever possible you want to pair Lunarlight Mark and Barrage. Ideally without holding a Heartseeker Barrage cast for more than a second or two. Sometimes this means holding a Celestial Impetus proc for a couple seconds until Lunarlight Mark is up or holding Lunarlight Mark it self for a Heartseeker Barrage cast to be ready. This is only for AoE optimization and you don't have to worry about it in single target.
Ultimate Ability
Elarion’s Ultimate: Event Horizon essentially allows us to Starfall Volley more often. It makes it so Highwind Arrow reduces the cooldown of Heartseeker Barrage, and every hit from barrage reduces the cooldown of Starfall Volley. On top of that you gain 30% haste, cooldown reduction based on your haste, and all your focus costs reduced by 50% for the duration. It’s more powerful on AoE than it is single target and you’ll want to avoid missing uses of this throughout the course of a dungeon.
Utility
Outside of his damaging abilities Elarion has Pathfinder's Resillience as his personal defensive, and Grappling Arrow which is a large AoE mass grip within a targeted area. It also reduces enemies movement speed by 65% for 8 seconds. It’s extremely useful for grouping stubborn mobs or simply interrupting casting mobs in an AoE.
Tips
One of the most basic, but important things you can do in Fellowship is mark specific targets or locations. In the input settings you will notice you have the ability to keybind “Mark Unit” and “Mark Location”. These can be exceptionally useful for designating targets to kill or important stack points on bosses.
Buffs and Debuffs
Buffs and Debuffs in Fellowship are extremely important, but unfortunately the base UI doesn’t place the display of these in a great location. As a result, I’d recommend moving them closer to the middle of your screen using the “EDIT HUD” feature in the game menu.
