The Runed Loop Of The Horizon is the best Legendary for Xavian in Early Access Season 3. It provides the most defensive power whilst also providing solid offensive power. It also has natural synergy with specific talents.

Legendaries

On Xavian you have 3 Legendaries that are all powerful in their own right, and augment different things depending on what you value.

What I'd consider Xavian's best all around Legendary is:

Runed Loop Of The Horizon: Enemies hit by your Solar Blades deal 20% reduced damage to you for 5 seconds. It also makes Solar Blades have a 30% chance to be a guaranteed crit. With the cooldown of Solar Blades already being fairly low and only getting lower with Haste, along with the frequent resets, the damage reduction from this has quite a high uptime. This is easily our best general Legendary that has very powerful use regardless of talent set-ups.

Sandworn Bands Of The Fortress: This Legendary makes it so that Your Solar Shield now reduces damage taken by 40%, and additionally when you take damage that would otherwise kill you, Solar Shield is applied for free. This Legendary is almost strictly a defensive power increase, but it's actually less defensive value than the Runed Loop as it currently is.

Guilded Cloak Of The Sunlit Kingdom: Each time your Brilliant Flash consumes a Swift Reprival, you gain 1 stack of Grossly Incandescent. When you reach 4 stacks, you’re given 1 stack of Omega Reprival. This Legendary is largely there to buff your damage a large amount. It's very strong offensively, and has some minor healing implications, but it's almost strictly offensive power and great for farm runs.

Weapons

In Early Access Season 3 there are a couple powerful weapons for Xavian, but there is one outlier.

Darkfrost Talon - Through the attack speed reduction, this weapon effectively provides 40% damage reduction against the most prominent source of damage in the game as a tank: Melee attacks. It's very powerful and with specific gear set-ups you can get this to very high uptimes. A single target stop, an AoE slow and attack speed slow, and a large amount of damage on a low cooldown, makes this weapon extremely strong.

Attack Speed Note: Because attack speed slows don't stack in Fellowship, when you are using this weapon you can untalent Imposing Presence to gain back 2 Talent Points to use elsewhere.

Fateful Arms - A 70 second cooldown cleaving strike that’s on the global cooldown. It was nerfed from its previous iteration, and no longer grants any Expertise buff, as well as its damage is virtually non-existent now. However, its 200% CDR for 6 seconds is still extremely powerful.

Xavian doesn’t actually benefit as much as other Hero’s from this effect since his cooldowns are all quite short, but regardless it allows you to press more of what you have, effectively generating more Brilliant Flashes and more Solar Shield uptime. It also interacts with the most powerful Master Weapon Traits very nicely, as well as certain talents.

Sahril's Arms - A 90 second cooldown absorb shield that explodes upon expiration to deal a large amount of damage. This is a great weapon for Xavian since it adds an additional defensive to our arsenal. It’s not as powerful as it could be since they adjusted how shield stacking works in the new season, so you can’t overlap this with Solar Shield for immortality, but it's strong nonetheless.

Gear Sets

Set bonuses have the capacity to be extremely powerful. Different dungeons drop different sets allowing you to farm your best in slot bonuses. Below I've listed some important set bonuses that you can use on Xavian.

Torment Of Bael'aurum: This gives a good flat amount of main stat with no rng to it. Nice and consistent, with a solid cheat death effect.

Seal Of The Heskyr: This set empowers your Gem Power by 25%. Because of this it's quite weak early on, but scales extremely strong end-game once you have your ideal gem set-ups and Essence bonuses.

Dark Prophecy: Your abilities have a chance to increase your haste by 25% for 20 seconds. This is easily one of your best sets for Xavian with how important Haste is.

Drakheim's Absolution: This is a nice and simple 20% increase to main stat during your ultimate. As Xavian naturally has a lower cooldown ultimate than other Heroes, he also gains more value from this set. It is great for damage when playing blue gems but not great defensively since you are already strong inside your ult.

Tuzari Grace: 4% Haste and 20% movement speed. Haste, Haste and more Haste is always good, and surprisingly the 20% movement speed is significant.

Relics

With the removal of Sinbinding Stone, tanks have a new BIS relic: Obsidian Sigil. This is a must have and functions as an extra defensive ability.

Trait Synergy: In season 3 we've also have the re-introduction of a Trait called: Treasure Hunter's Delight. This effectively gives us damage reduction whenever we activate a Relic. At lower ranks it's not enough and can be ignored for whatever utility Relic you prefer, however, at max rank it's worth utilizing and aiming for in an end-game set-up, although it does neuter your ability to use utility relics to help your team or route.

The other options we have at our disposal are listed below.

Saltwash Elixir - Instantly heals you for 40% of your max hp on a 2 minute cooldown.

Grimoire Of Resurrection - A simple combat rez. It has a small cast time with a 5 minute cooldown.

Ancient Wardstone - Instantly dispel all harmful magic effects from yourself and allies on a 2 minute cooldown. This can be extremely good in some dungeons depending on how you’re pulling.

Ancient Poultry Fetish - Turns your target into a chicken. Permanently. This cannot be used on Bosses but there are pulls in dungeons where utilizing this Relic makes life so much easier. It has shared uses by the party on a 3 minute cooldown, so its value lessens with multiple users in the same party.

Orb Of Shadows - Party wide invisibility for 15 seconds on a 6 minute cooldown. There aren’t too many notable uses of this but it can be strong if you plan around skipping packs with this.

Bloodrite Drums - A 12 second, 50% movespeed increase for you and your allies.

Humming Portalstone - Opens an interactable portal. You can only have 1 of these active at any time and there is a short cooldown on how often you can take the portal. It has a 2 minute cooldown. With co-ordinated play it’s very useful.
