Stat Priority
The Stat priority for Sylvie is as follows:
- Item level / Intellect
- Haste
- Spirit
- Expertise
- Crit
Item level is king in Fellowship as main stat has the greatest effect on your damage, healing and survivability.
Haste decreases the global cooldown and increases the tick rate of your Flutterfly Healing and Life Petal. With Flower Power talented, haste also decreases the recharge time of your Heart Bloom charges.
Spirit decreases the cooldown of your ultimate and gives you a chance to refund the mana cost of an ability when used, also spawning a Prickly Vine. Remember, for each Prickly Vine you will generate 1 Boomshroom and all Flutterfly healing is 3% stronger.
Expertise increases your healing and damage by a flat amount.
Critical Strike has a chance to double the effect of our damage and healing. It’s mostly an offensive stat but it does increase our throughput as well. The random nature of it makes it less desirable but it’s still good.
Remember, stat ratings have diminishing returns. For that reason, this stat priority should not be followed religiously and is mostly a guide for the early game. Towards the end of the gearing process, you will likely just be equipping any essence bonus socketed items you have. Do not concern yourself with farming "perfect" stats.
Weapon Traits
Due to the random nature of Weapon Traits, it can be a game of cat and mouse trying to get the ideal weapon tree. You have two offensive rows, two defensive rows, and a major capstone, with multiple options in each row for different pathing up the tree. With that in mind, you can start to see how gaining access to a "BiS" set-up might prove tricky. Don't be afraid to use some materials to reroll Traits if you need to.
Below I'll separate and list the ideal weapon traits for each type.
Master Traits

Heroic Brand when paired with Zeraleth's Scythe double dips on the healing output and helps you to contribute damage. Visions Of Grandeur allows for more ult usage and having your ult sooner in a dungeon. Brave Machinations slightly boosts the damage and healing of Zeraleth's Scythe and greatly reduces the cooldown. Amethyst Splinters, when paired with Amethyst gems or high crit, is a consistent boost to both damage and healing.
Heroic Traits

Inspired Allegiance grants some Haste to yourself and your party but more importantly reduces the cooldown of your weapon ability with each proc. Willful Momentum grants some flat Spirit and a % Intellect bonus on Spirit proc. This has a very high uptime for Sylvie. The other Traits are nice bonuses to stats but not as consistent or valuable as the S-tier traits.
Defensive Traits

King Of The Hill is by far the most consistent and highest value Defensive Trait that dps and healers have access to. After that, Heart Of Stone is a good boost to your EHP against one-shots. Divine Mediation is a pretty consistent self-heal with the bonus of shielding your party. Treasure Hunter's Delight is a good way to have an on-demand defensive when paired with certain relics.
Gems & Gem Builds
The Gem System in Fellowship is fairly unique. You can obtain powerful gems to attach to sockets in your gear, which gives you Gem Power that enables different Gem Bonuses. There are multiple Gem sizes that provide you with more Gem Power. You can combine 3 of the same gem type and size using Gem Fusion (Master Craftsman Braggi NPC) to create a gem of the next size up.
It’s worth noting that some socketed gear can additionally drop with a 35% gem power increase (100% for a Legendary). This makes it so you’ll want to prioritize socketing higher quality gems into these items. For example, Legendaries come with a 100% increased gem power socket, making it ideal for your larger gems.
Gem Types & Bonuses
The Gem types each follow a pattern of the type of bonus they provide, a simplification of the Gems is shown in the table below.
| Gem Type | Gem Bonus |
| Ruby | Main Stat / Boss Combat Buffs |
| Amethyst | Critical Strike |
| Topaz | Haste |
| Emerald | Expertise |
| Sapphire | Stats during Ultimate Ability |
| Diamond | All Secondary Stats |
Sylvie Gem Priority
The early game Gem priority for Sylvie is the following:
Topaz >= Emerald > Amethyst > Ruby > Sapphire > Diamond
Very early on, when you only have a few sockets and a few tier 1 or tier 2 gems, you should get 1-2 nodes in different gem trees before stacking 4-5 nodes in one color.
In the late game, the gem meta for Sylvie is to go 10 nodes in Topaz or Emerald, 6 nodes in Amethyst and 6 nodes in Ruby. This appears to yield the highest value, though some other combinations may be viable as well. I personally lean towards Topaz 10 instead of Emerald 10.
Here is an example of an endgame gem setup with 8 35% essence bonuses and the Legendary, using Topaz 10.
Note that, this specific configuration is only possible with at least 8 35% essence bonuses. Any further essence bonuses will help you to get a bit more overcap in Topaz.
Here is another popular endgame setup. This setup uses Topaz 5, Emerald 10 and Amethyst 6. It fills the last bit of gem power with Ruby 2, a high value 2 point node giving a lot of Intellect. Again, this setup will require at least 8 35% essence bonuses + your Legendary.
You can use Method's Gem Calculator to play around with different configurations and create your own.
