The Best in Slot (BiS) Legendary and Weapon for Ardeos are shown below.
Legendaries
On Ardeos you have 3 Legendaries that all are powerful in their own right.
Currently I would suggest Ring Of Boomtastic Explosions, as it is very versatile and helps alleviate weaknesses we have such as priority burst damage. It also allows us to drop Backdraft as a Talent point as we can comfortably refresh Searing Blaze with just Apocalypse. This mixed with the new Apocalyptic Surge Talent allows us to get a lot of bonus Detonate casts.
Draconic Bracers Of The Devouring Flame is our strongest single target option as it gives us a lot of funnel damage with a Rolling Flames build and allows us to have a massive single target burst window with our Spirit Ability.
Once you are close to having BIS gear, Exquisite Flaming Toad Cloak will become incredibly powerful. It does have a limiting damage profile but the overall output may make it still worth taking.
Weapons
When it comes to weapons we will be picking Asha's Chronoshift Spire. This is due to a very powerful combo that this unlocks where we can stack many instances of Engulfing Flames on bosses. This really enables our single target.
Asha's Chronoshift Spire - This weapon is a channelled AoE that pulses damage around you. While you channel, you get 800% increased CDR (24 seconds of CDR) and take 50% reduced damage. It’s very powerful and enables us to stack more Engulfing Flames on a target and gets our burst window back quicker.
Frozen Staff Of An'zhyr - This weapon is a targeted ground circle that drops some icicles on enemies inside. It applies a permanent debuff to enemies inside making them take damage over time and more damage from consecutive uses. This weapon does good damage on AOE and is mostly pressed on cooldown to give as much uptime of the debuff as possible and make use of the damage bonuses on already effected enemies.
Branch Of The Everliving - This weapon does a burst of damage to 4 enemies and healing to 4 allies. This weapon generally falls behind for our overall output but is situationally good if your healer needs help during some boss encounters where there is heavy group damage.
Void-Touched Conduit - This weapon applies a debuff to an enemy where they take a powerful burst of damage after a short amount of time has passed or it can trigger early if you do a certain amount of damage. This is usable to kill priority targets and good boss damage but falls behind the overall output of other options.
Gear Sets
Set bonuses are extremely powerful in Fellowship's Early Access Season 3. We are no longer losing a gem socket to equip these and they instead take up Modifier slots on items. This means that we can get these powerful bonuses for the cost of 2 Modifier slots per set. That being the case I'd suggest we run 4 set bonuses.
Different dungeons drop different sets allowing you to farm your best in slot bonuses. Below I’ve listed the most important set bonus you’ll want to acquire for Ardeos.
Dark Prophecy: This gives your abilities a chance to increase your haste by 25% for 20 seconds. It procs roughly once per minute so it has around a 25-35% uptime which is super nice.
Seal Of The Heskyr: This is a set added in Early Access Season 3. It provides 25% gem essence bonus to your currently equipped gems. This is going to be incredibly powerful late game where we have 4 Flawless gems enabling us to go deeper into the gem tracks. For example 4 Flawless gems each in a different colour with this set will allow us to get 4 tracks to tier 6.
Drakheim's Absolution: This set bonus gives us a massive 20% main stat boost when we use our spirit ability. This is incredibly powerful when combined with Sapphire gems.
Death's Grasp: This set bonus provides 4% Spirit and 10% damage to low health enemies. While Spirit is not a great stat for us this set is a notable damage increase and our second best set from Adventures (one-boss Dungeons).
Sin Warding: This set provides 4% Expertise and 5% max health. While not the best for output this is the best set for survivability so worth considering if survivability becomes an issue.
Relics
Relics are entirely utility focused in Fellowship and they mostly aren’t unique to specific heroes so it allows for a lot of change. With Early Access Season 3 the Modifiers on relics are random so we are less forced into certain ones that have good stats.
There are some relics that are more consistently useful such as Sinbinding Stone but the utility options are incredibly useful when you can make use of them. Ideally talk with your group about what you might need.
Consistantly Good
Sinbinding Stone - Grants 15% damage reduction to yourself and nearby allies for 15 seconds on a 3 minute cooldown. This Relic is powerful and always useful, particularly on some of the harder bosses in the game.
Grimoire Of Resurrection - A simple combat rez. It has a small cast time with a 5 minute cooldown.
Ancient Wardstone - Instantly dispel all harmful magic effects from yourself and allies on a 2 minute cooldown. This can be extremely good in some dungeons such as Silken Hollow with a lot of dispellable debuffs throughout the dungeon.
Saltwash Elixir - Instantly heals you for 40% of your max hp on a 2 minute cooldown. Simple, effective.
Potential Utility
Ancient Poultry Fetish - Turns your target into a chicken. Permanently. This cannot be used on Bosses but there are pulls in dungeons where utilizing this Relic makes life so much easier. It has shared uses by the party on a 3 minute cooldown, so its value lessens with multiple users in the same party, alongside the fact there are much better relics on offer.
Orb Of Shadows - Party wide invisibility for 15 seconds on a 6 minute cooldown. There aren’t too many notable uses of this but it can be strong if you plan around skipping packs with this.
Humming Portalstone - Opens an interactable portal. You can only have 1 of these active at any time and there is a short cooldown on how often you can take the portal. It has a 2 minute cooldown. With co-ordinated play it could be useful but for most it’s not a great option.
