The best weapon for Meiko is dependant on what Legendary build you end up going for, but generally speaking Darkfrost Talon will be the best for most of them.

Legendaries

On Meiko you have 3 Legendaries that all are powerful in their own right, but there is one that is a clear winner for the highest levels of content.

Drape Of The Earthen Spirits: This Legendary revolves around your statue, specifically providing you a large 80% armour buff on its expiration and a good chunk more damage for your Shatter Earth and Stone Shield. The armour buff is ridiculously strong and is up the majority of the time outside of Bulwark casts, buying you time to the next Bulwark comfortably. It's easily the best legendary defensively.

Bracers Of Everlasting Spirit: This Legendary makes it so that whenever you spend Serenity stacks, you get a buff for 9 seconds that provides damage reduction for its duration based on how many stacks consumed. It also deals AoE damage based on the same thing. This Legendary makes you significantly tankier when running the suggested Talent build since you can maintain additional damage reduction at a very high uptime whilst also healing a ridiculous amount. It's the only Legendary that has effectively 100% uptime on a decent amount of DR.

Ring Of Tectonic Impact: This Legendary is much more appealing after the talent changes to Forbidden Technique and Stone Guard. In combination with those 2 Talents, you actually don't sacrifice much durability to deal a large amount of damage. Your Earthfist Barrage with this Legendary will be enough to heal and refresh a Stone Shield charge very often.

Weapons

Fists Of Fate - This weapon is great early game for maintaining very high uptime of Stone Shield, but typically falls behind as you scale into the late game. When you are running Drape Of The Earthen Spirits, it's actually the best choice due to the higher Bulwark uptime it can provide, which is our BiS legendary, making this weapon our BiS for that purpose.

Darkfrost Talon - This Weapon effectively provides 40% damage reduction against the most prominent source of damage in the game as a tank: Melee attacks. It's very powerful and with specific gear set-ups you can get this to very high uptimes. A single target stop, an AoE slow and attack speed slow, and a large amount of damage on a low cooldown, makes this weapon extremely strong.

Note: Because attack speed slows don't stack in Fellowship, you can actually use Darkfrost Talon and untalent Debilitating Vortex to gain back 2 Talent points to use elsewhere.

Gear Sets

Below I've listed some important set bonuses that you can use on Meiko. Because of the changes to gems in Early Access Season 3 (you now only have slots on your Wrists, Cloak & Rings), sets are now very much in play.

Seal Of The Heskyr: This set empowers your Gem Power by 25%. Because of this it's quite weak early on, but scales extremely strong end-game once you have your ideal gem set-ups and Essence bonuses.

Torment Of Bael'aurum: This gives a good flat amount of agility with no rng to it, nice and consistent with a cheat death proc.

Draconic Might: This gives you critical strikes a chance to increase your Agility by 18% for 15 seconds. It has a roughly 35% uptime so it's a lot of main stat at any given time, making everything you do far more effective during this buff.

Drakheim's Absolution: This is a nice and simple 20% increase to Agility during your ultimate. It is good for damage when playing blue gems but not great defensively since you are already strong in your ult.

Relics

With the removal of Sinbinding Stone, tanks have a new BIS relic: Obsidian Sigil. This is a must have and functions as an extra defensive ability.

Trait Synergy: In season 3 we've also have the re-introduction of a Trait called: Treasure Hunter's Delight. This effectively gives us damage reduction whenever we activate a relic. At lower ranks it's not enough and can be ignored for whatever utility relic you prefer, however, at max rank it's worth utilizing and aiming for in an end-game set-up, although it does neuter your ability to use utility relics to help your team or route.

The other options we have at our disposal are listed below.

Saltwash Elixir - Instantly heals you for 40% of your max hp on a 2 minute cooldown.

Grimoire Of Resurrection - A simple combat rez. It has a small cast time with a 5 minute cooldown.

Ancient Wardstone - Instantly dispel all harmful magic effects from yourself and allies on a 2 minute cooldown. This can be extremely good in some dungeons depending on how you’re pulling.

Ancient Poultry Fetish - Turns your target into a chicken. Permanently. This cannot be used on Bosses but there are pulls in dungeons where utilizing this Relic makes life so much easier. It has shared uses by the party on a 3 minute cooldown, so its value lessens with multiple users in the same party.

Orb Of Shadows - Party wide invisibility for 15 seconds on a 6 minute cooldown. There aren’t too many notable uses of this but it can be strong if you plan around skipping packs with this.

Bloodrite Drums - A 12 second, 50% movespeed increase for you and your allies.

Humming Portalstone - Opens an interactable portal. You can only have 1 of these active at any time and there is a short cooldown on how often you can take the portal. It has a 2 minute cooldown. With co-ordinated play it’s very useful.
