Hall of Thanes Location
Hall of Thanes is located in Old Ironforge, a formerly sealed-off area hidden underneath the High Seat of the Dwarven capital of Ironforge in Dun Morogh.
Alliance players will have no trouble getting here, while Horde players will have to trek through Alliance territories to get here.
Horde players can start in the Undercity and trek through Silverpine Forest, Hillsbrad Foothills, Arathi Highlands, Wetlands, Loch Modan, and finally, Dun Morogh. There is speculation that there is a secret quest for Horde to unlock access to a teleporter to Hall of Thanes, but so far we have not found any quests to exist yet.
Hall of Thanes Dungeon Quests
There are 5 total quests for the Hall of Thanes. Alliance will have access to all 5, where Horde will only have access to 2.

Hall of Thanes Important Trash
There are a few noteworthy trash mobs we want to go over in this dungeon. The introductory ghost dwarf trash is nothing to note, as these mobs will get taken down pretty fast. Once you get past Faldrim Anvilmar, however, we get into the Dark Iron side, where trash actually becomes worth mentioning.
Dark Iron Engineer
These mobs will throw bombs at their primary threat target, dealing damage to everyone hit by it. They will typically spam this. The bomb is thrown at the target at the start of the cast, so players can avoid all bomb damage by moving out of the targeted spot before it lands.

Dark Iron Looter
These mobs have poisoned blades and will deal intense damage with their daggers. They are typically accompanied by other Dark Iron Dwarves or a few non-elite Bloodhound Runts.

Dark Iron Summoner
These are caster mobs that cast very powerful Fireballs and will cast Summon Fiery Assistant, summoning a Fire Elemental to assist them in battle. Their casts can be kicked and they can be stunned.
When pulling these mobs, use areas to hide from their line of sight (LoS) to bring them closer to you.

Lesser Stone Golem
These mobs hit hard, hit fast, and have increased movement speed, making it impossible to run from. By themselves, not too hard to take down, but with other packs, they can prove to deal some damage.
The final pack before Dirgen Durgehammer has 1 of these mobs along with a Dark Iron Looter and Dark Iron Summoner. If you have a Mage, we recommend casting Polymorph on the Summoner, and then taking out the Looter and Golem first.

Hall of Thanes Bosses
There are 4 bosses in the Hall of Thanes: Faldrim Anvilmar, Magmatus, Plunder, and Dirgen Durgehammer.
Faldrim Anvilmar
Faldrim Anvilmar is an Undead Dwarf and the first boss of the Hall of Thanes. His main challenge is accidentally pulling him with the trash around his area, as he patrols around his tomb surrounded by Undead Dwarves. Once you clear a good spot, take down Faldrim. He will cast Mind Blast and Anvilmar's Curse.

Magmatus
Magmatus is a Fire Elemental and is the second boss of the Hall of Thanes, accompanied by a Dark Iron Summoner, and there are other trash mobs around the area. There is a patrolling Dark Iron Summoner that you’ll want to take out before pulling the boss to not get overwhelmed.
When pulling the boss, we recommend the party take out the Dark Iron Summoner first while the tank drags Magmatus away from the party, as he casts instant Fire Novas that deal damage to everyone nearby. He’ll also cast Combust on a random target.

Plunder
Plunder is an Elemental Guardian and the third boss of the Hall of Thanes. This boss patrols through his hallway and only has one ability: Knock Away.
Once you clear enough trash, the tank should pull the boss into a corner away from all trash and the party should make sure they're not angled in a way to get them knocked into other trash packs.

Dirgen Dirgehammer
Durgen Dirgehammer is the final boss of the Hall of Thanes, and the culprit responsible of the Dark Iron Incursion in the Hall of Thanes. He is accompanied by two Lesser Stone Golems and is surrounded by Dark Iron Looters.
Durgen patrols left and right of his center platform, and players should clear out all the Looters before pulling the boss, as the boss will Fear players for 8 seconds.
Once cleared out, start the encounter and take down Durgen ASAP and then take down the Lesser Stone Golems, as the boss with his adds will deal heavy damage to your tank. Durgen also applies Rend to the tank, dealing 44 ticking physical damage every 3 seconds.
