In TBC Classic, gold farming is a must if you want to afford your consumables, best enchants, and eventually acquire luxury features like epic flying. However, for a lot of players, farming that gold might not be so easy.
There’s nothing in-game that addresses and informs the player of how to acquire this massive amount of gold. With potions being nearly 20g a pop, epic flying costing 5000g, and some enchants costing 300g, we wanted to provide you with some easy gold farms while you continue into The Burning Crusade!

Farming Primals
One of the main crafting materials in TBC Classic is “primals”, which are formed when you combine 10 “motes” of the same category. There are motes/primals for mana, shadow, life, fire, earth, water, and air. These can net you a pretty penny on the auction house, so we want to cover some easy spots to farm some of the more expensive ones without the need for engineering!
Primal Mana Farming
First, let's talk about mana. These will always be desired, as it costs one Primal Mana to make Super Sapper Charge, which is a must-have for all engineers, and engineering is still one of the most popular professions in Classic WoW currently. One spot in particular is the best farm spot, and that is at the Kirinvar village in Netherstorm. The Mana Seekers and Mageslayers here have a pretty decent chance to drop these motes.
Note: The area can be contested, but thanks to layering in Classic WoW servers, it’s very easy to just find a layer that is either more favorable to your faction or just less populated.
Primal Shadow
Primal Shadow are in high demand thanks to them being used in several enchants, including some shadow resist enchants that will be in high demand in Phase 3. There are a couple spots you can look into; one is the Oshu’gun in Nagrand, and the other is on the outer edges of Hellfire Peninsula, where these mobs are on infinite spawn rates.
Primal Fire
The last Primal of note is Primal Fire. This farming spot will be in a distinct spot in Hellfire Peninsula at the Throne of Kil'jaeden. The respawn rates here are very fast; you could easily pick a spot and hold it down while getting some work done on your second monitor. It is heavily contested though, more so than the other two spots mentioned earlier, so you may want to find a more friendly/empty layer while doing this!
Finish Your Quests!
A super easy and relaxed one-time gold “farm” will be to simply finish all your unfinished quests in the outland. Since you hit max level, zones will offer more gold for their quests (with the exception of Shadowmoon Valley for some unexplained reason). If you dungeon spammed your way to level 70, completing these quests can net you thousands of gold!
The Netherstorm in particular is home to so many quests and quest chains; it's very easy to complete most of these solo and end up richer at the end of the play session!
You got some work to do...
Wake up one morning, throw on your favourite podcast or show, and complete those unfinished quests in game. The addon Questie will be a great assistant to show you everything you haven't completed yet.
Instanced Farms
Protection Paladin Farming
There are several classes that can do instanced gold farming through either raw gold, mining, or opening chests. The first one we’ll talk about is prot paladin farming. The two most popular spots are Stratholme and The Black Morass. Tedj shows a very basic, easy farm that all players can do, while Vanderx here shows a little more complex strategy that will net you more gold per hour.
The major requirement for these farms will be the trinket Figurine Of The Colossus. This trinket's on-use can allow you to regenerate your health back to 100% with its on-use effect!

Rogue/Druid Stealth Farming
Rogues and Druids can stealth farm through several dungeons to farm out Herbalism and Mining nodes, and rogues can also unlock chests scattered throughout these instances. Popular dungeons include the Steamvaults and Mana-Tombs for these classes.

This video from Solheim shows a great route for Rogues in The Steamvaults as a good example. Be wary, though, as some mob patrol patterns have changed after the recent Midnight API update, and they now patrol closer to certain nodes/chests!
