Introduction
Hey everyone, and welcome to Method's guide for the Excavation Site: Wetlands Dungeon in World of Warcraft: Forever. In this guide we’ll be going over all trash, bosses, loot, and quests for this dungeon.
Excavation Site: Wetlands Video Guide
Excavation Site: Wetlands Location
Excavation Site: Wetlands is located in the Wetlands, a site overtaken by crocolisks, raptors, the Dragonmaw Orc Clan, and massive spiders!
Alliance players will have no trouble getting here from either Thelsemar or Menethil Harbor. Horde players don’t have to stress too much, as they will only have a slightly longer trek from Hammerfall in Arathi Highlands.

The Dungeon Entrance is located near the Dun Algaz entrance, where you'll see the Meeting Stone for it at the base of the mountain you'll scale to get up there.

Excavation Site: Wetlands Important Trash
There are a few noteworthy trash mobs we want to go over in this raid, particularly in the raptor area as the raptors are incredibly powerful in terms of raw damage.
Young Riptooth
- These mobs come in packs of three and will deal Fatal Bite to their target.
- Focus them down 1 by 1 rather than using full AoE so your tank and healer don't get overwhelmed.

Marsh Skulkers and Elder Crocolisk
- Skulkers will cast a Musclet Rot, stat reducing the target's Spirit and Stamina.
- Both mobs will cast Tendon Rip, slowing the target by 71%.

Thicket Hunter and Thicket Matriarch
- Ticket Hunters will hit their targets with Infected Wound, a disease that increases physical damage. Cleanse this.
- Thicket Matriarchs will hit their targets with Rend Flesh, a powerful physical DoT.

Thicket Lurker and Thicket Stalker
- These mobs come in packs of 3 and will hide in the tall grass, invisible until you aggro them.
- Lurkers apply Rend Flesh to their target. Be careful when getting near the grass!

Dragonmaw Saboteur and Dragonmaw Warder
- Saboteurs will throw bombs at a target area, and can be avoided once you see where they channel the throw.
- Warders will apply Mortal Strike to their target, reducing healing effects by 50% to that target.
- Warders will also Net the target, rooting them in place for 10 seconds. This can be broken by a Paladin's Blessing of Freedom.

Dragonmaw Thaumaturgist
- These mobs will cast Immolate and Curse of Weakness at their target.
- Accompanied by a fire elemental, take down the elemental first, and then the Thaumaturgist.

Highland Lurker and Highland Spider
- Lurkers will Poison their target and apply Highland Venom as well.
- Highland Spiders are non-elites that come in packs of 3 and will Poison their targets.
- Cleanse the disease and poison ASAP!

Excavation Site: Wetlands Bosses
There are 4 Bosses in Excavation Site: Wetlands, but only 3 that drop loot. Highland Horror is a quest boss for Alliance.
Saltspine
Saltspine is the first boss of Excavation Wetlands and his primary ability is Dust Storm, which will greatly reduce the threat generation of the tank.
Saltspine will also cast Fatal Bite and Tendon Rip on the target. This boss patrols the edge of the crocolisk lake area.
Be careful when pulling the boss with other mobs, as it may be too much for your tank and healer.

Shadetooth
Shadetooth is the second boss of the dungeon and patrols the entirety of the raptor pathway. He deals intense damage and is accompanied by two Thicket Hunters.
His main mechanic is his fear: Terrifying Roar, as it can fear you into hidden packs hidden in the tall grass. You'll want a Shaman's Tremor Totem or a Priests Fear Ward on your tank here. If you have neither, you will want to clear out the trash hidden in the grass before pulling this boss.
He’ll also apply a powerful Rend to the tank, dealing 77 physical damage every 3 seconds, and will Enrage at 20%. Increasing attack speed by 30% and physical damage by 15.

Highland Horror
Highland Horror is a quest boss for Alliance only and does not drop any loot.
He has two abilities: Entangling Roots and Wild Regeneration.
The only real concern with this boss is accidentally pulling the slimes that surround him. Outside of that, take him down fast and collect your quest item.

Relic Guardian
Relic Guardian is the final boss of the dungeon and jumps to level 31!
Relic Guardian needs to be activated from a Titan Control Panel located by him. Because he’s a higher level, targets will have a higher chance of misses and dodges, making threat potentially a little slippery.
Relic Guardian casts Thunderclap, which reduces everyone's attack speed around him. He also has a frontal cleave with Arcing Smash, so tanks need to face him away from the rest of the group.
He’ll do an individual Knockaway that reduces threat, and an AoE knockback and stun through War Stomp. All ranged should make sure to not be near the boss to avoid this mechanic.
Tip: This boss can be stunned and slowed, so you can actually kite the boss if he becomes too overwhelming, if you have slows like a Hunter's Concussive Shot or a Shaman's Earthbind Totem.
