Camping is a new system that has been added in WoW Forever. It takes the old Cooking Fire from the Cooking Profession and turns it into a whole new social system, where you and other players can sit by the campfire and use items from different professions to gain a variety of different buffs.
As you and other players progress deeper into the Camping system and Professions you will also gain access to different vendors, repair kits and workbenches that can be used in your camp.

After accepting The Great Outdoors quest you will be asked to sit by the campfire, this teaches you the basics of Camping in WoW Forever, and shortly after sitting by the campfire you will be asked to go into the nearest town and learn the Cooking Profession in order to learn how to start making your own Basic Campfire with Simple Wood and a Flint And Tinder.
From here you will be able to place down a Campfire throughout the world of Azeroth, and other players can stop by to recharge and maybe even give your camp an extra buff.
At first you will only be able to place 3 other profession items at your camp but as you level up your Cooking Profession you will be able to upgrade your camp and place more items at your camp to gain more buffs.
Note: Each player can only place 1 item at a Campfire, meaning you will need multiple players to maximise the amount of buffs you can gain from the Camping System.
The table below shows the Cooking Skill levels you will need to gain in order to upgrade your Campfires along with the amount of Profession items you will be able to place at each campfire.
| Campfire | Cooking Profession Skill | Placeable Items |
| Basic Campfire | 1 | 3 |
| Journeyman Campfire | 90 | 5 |
| Expert Campfire | 200 | 10 |
How Professions Work With Camping in WoW Forever
Professions are at the core of the camping system, allowing you and other players to gain a wide variety of buffs and gain access to different vendors and repair kits by placing specific items at the Campfire.
Each Profession in WoW Forever can add a buff or an item to the camp, including the secondary Professions like Fishing, First Aid and Cooking.
When learning a Profession you will be able to pick up a quest from any of the NPCs at the town Campfires. These quests ask you to raise the Profession you have learnt to 20. Completing this quest will give you the ability to start crafting the Profession items to place at your Campfire.
As you level up your Professions you will be able to upgrade the item that your Profession can place at a Campfire. Upgraded items will keep the benefits of the previous version, but will add something extra to the Campfire.
Any player who has an upgraded version of a Profession Item can replace a lower tier version at a Campfire without taking an extra slot on the amount of items you can have at a single Campfire.

All Camping Profession Buffs in WoW Forever
The buffs you can receive from Camping are extremely similar to the Class Buffs that many players love, and while at first some players might look at camping as a replacement to Class Buffs, Camping Buffs are not.
Instead, Camping Buffs can be extremely useful in the lower levels and dungeon groups, meaning you won’t need to get the perfect composition for your group and instead can use the Camping Buffs if you are missing a certain Class Buff.
It is worth noting that Camp Buffs and Class Buffs do not stack, so you won’t need to run around before your raid begins looking for a certain Profession to gain their Camp Buff.
The table below lists each Profession and what benefit they add to a Campfire by adding their Profession Items compared to their Class Buff counterpart.
| Profession | Camp Benefit | Class Buff Counterpart |
| Alchemy | Mana Regen Every 5 Seconds | Blessing of Wisdom |
| Blacksmithing | Strength Buff | Strength of Earth Totem |

Legacy Points & Camping
Another new system added to WoW Forever is the Legacy system. As you progress through WoW Forever you will start to accumulate Legacy Points. You can then spend these points on a wide range of perks to give your account a bonus for different parts of the game.
Inside of the Legacy Skill Trees there are a few different talents you can pick to give your Campfire a bonus.
The table below lists what perks you can gain from the Legacy Point system and what Skill Trees they are a part of.
| Legacy Skill Tree | Perk | Bonus |
| Adventure | Field Guide | Reduces your cooldown on adding Camp Features by 8%. |
| Resourcefulness | Reagent Economy | Tier 1 Camping Features no longer requires reagents to craft. |
| Resourcefulness | Permanence | Benefits earned from resting at camps lasts 50% longer. |
