World of Warcraft Remix: Mists of Pandaria Overview

WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria is a brand new time-limited game-mode in which players are going to be able to rediscover the mysteries of Pandaria in a new and unique experience. There will also be opportunities to gain rewards you may have missed out on when the game was live, as well as completely new rewards; either by purchasing them using the new currency, Bronze, or by completing new achievements. These rewards will also be earned on your live characters, including Mounts, Transmogs and more.

Remix has made sweeping changes to loot as compared to retail, making it more customizable and being able to tailor it to your playstyle. The game-mode also gives you the chance to infinitely keep upgrading a piece of gear, The Cloak of Infinite Potential, meaning anyone who wants unlimited power finally has a place to grind away.

You will level through the remixed version of Mists of Pandaria on brand new characters, specifically created for this event. These characters will level from level 10 up to 70, all within the Mists of Pandaria zones, including the raids, dungeons and questing experiences. Once the WoW Remix event concludes, these characters will become regular characters usable in The War Within expansion.

How long is WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria Available?

The Character Select Screen shows a countdown timer in the top left corner for the event. As of the launch of the WoW Remix event on May 16th 2024, that countdown shows 95 days remaining, which would put the end date of WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria on Monday, August 19th, 2024.

How do you start MoP Remix?

To play MoP Remix, you start the Dragonflight game client, and on the character screen choose to create a new character. Now you will be able to choose to make a Timerunning character, which is the name of the Remix specific character type. Your Timerunning character can have any race and class combination currently available in the live game.

Once you finish making the Timerunning character, it will be displayed among your other retail characters on the particular realm you created it on. Timerunning characters will start at level 10 and be locked to the Pandaria Continent for the duration of the event, but will be usable in the retail version of the game once the event concludes, meaning this is a great opportunity to level a new class that you have never tried before.

What can you do in WoW Remix: MoP?

In Remix you can choose to level in many different ways. The experience starts at level 10 with an introduction on the Timeless Isle, where you get your basic gear and learn the changes of the game-mode.

Once you finish the introduction, you will have access to the Jade Forest zone, as well as two scenarios and four dungeons (in normal and heroic versions). As you level you will unlock more content and get access to the other zones as well as nine additional scenarios, and five more dungeons.

One very unique experience is the ability to level up in raids. Starting from level 25 you will gain access to LFR and normal Mogu’shan Vaults, and this culminates in being able to tackle heroic raids at level 70.

So whether you enjoy questing, exploring, dungeons or raids there will be plenty for you to do.

Brand new loot, customize your gear with stats and powerful effects!

No matter which content you are participating in, you will be rewarded with many Cache of Infinite Treasures along your adventure.

These boxes contain the new currency, Bronze, as well as gear and gems unique to MoP Remix. All gear is equally upgradable, which means all gear you find, even at low levels, have the potential to be the gear you will use at max level. All gear also has sockets, and the new gems allow you to add stats, learn other classes' movement skills and even use powerful abilities not seen in the game before.

The Cloak of Infinite Potential is the only cloak in the game and the only item which can be infinitely upgraded. During your journey you will be collecting Threads, which will automatically be applied to the cloak and grant it increasing primary, secondary and tertiary stats, and even increases to experience gains. Once you have reached certain thresholds, any new Timerunning characters you create will start with an increasingly more powerful version of the cloak, making leveling more characters quicker.

Achievements and Rewards!

Mist of Pandaria Remix has a huge amount of achievements, all of which reward you with either new unique mounts, pets, toys, transmogs or Bronze which will allow you to purchase from the wide range of choices that vendors have to offer.

There is a significant amount of rewards from WoW Remix: Mist of Pandaria, including mounts, pets, toys, titles and transmogs; some are returning and some are brand new. The majority of rewards are obtained from vendors, using Bronze, which is the new currency introduced for Remix.

Bronze is awarded for engaging in nearly every piece of content on your Timerunning adventure, but you will need a hefty amount to purchase every reward. I’m certainly looking forward to diving into speed leveling in a new, but very nostalgic part of WoW history, as Mists of Pandaria was personally my favourite expansion.
