Tier Sets
The new set bonuses are passive, have no effect on the rotation whatsoever, and quite frankly, boring. However, this is okay considering that it is the first season of the expansion, which introduces hero talents.
- (2) Set Bonus: Stormstrike, Lava Lash, Ice Strike, and Crash Lightning deal 15% increased damage.
- (4) Set Bonus: Activating Feral Spirits summons 1 extra Feral Spirit.

Trinkets
The dungeon trinket pool in season 1 has a lot of good options, with Empowering Crystal of Anub’ikkaj and Ara-Kara Sacbrood looking like the best options. Solid alternatives are Skardyn’s Grace, Dead-Eye Spyglass, and Mistcaller Ocarina.
The raid trinkets from Nerub’ar Palace, however, look somewhat underwhelming, with the best among them being Ovi’nax Mercurial Egg and Treacherous Transmitter.
Embellishments
Right now on beta the only Embellishments of note are the Darkmoon Sigils, which can only be put on weapons. As such, you will want to craft two weapons and put Darkmoon Sigil: Vivacity on both of them. However, I expect Blizzard to give us a tuning pass on embellishments.
