Stat Priorities

Stat Ranking

Item level is always king.

Once you start getting the same item level pieces, you can start using raidbots to sim for the best piece.

Generally speaking, it will be Agility >> Crit = Vers > Mastery > Haste.

Stat Outline

Critical Strike: Increased chance for attacks and heals to crit. Works well for Brewmaster due to Celestial Fortune, which also always works on absorbs.

Haste: Increases energy regeneration, attack speed and reduces the cooldown of Keg Smash, Rushing Jade Wind and Purifying Brew.

Versatility: Increases all your damage and healing done, as well as decreases all damage taken.

Mastery: Mastery: Elusive Brawler grants you a stacking buff that increases your chance to dodge until you have successfully dodged. Mastery also increases your Attack Power.

Races

Just like previous expansions, the difference between races is mostly fairly small, so feel free to play whatever you like the most. If you care about min-maxing, then here are my recommendations.

Some races perform slightly better in specific situations:

Dwarf for Stoneform.
Night Elf for Shadowmeld if you want to utilize it for Mythic+ skips.
Pandaren: Panda can be great if current food buffs x2 outweighs other racials.

Enchants

Head: Enchant Helm - Empowered Hex Of Leeching

Shoulders: Enchant Shoulders - Silvermoon's Mending

Chest: Enchant Chest - Mark Of The Worldsoul

Boots: Enchant Boots - Shaladrassil's Roots

Legs: Forest Hunter's Armor Kit

Rings: Enchant Ring - Nature's Fury

Weapon: Enchant Weapon - Acuity Of The Ren'dorei / Enchant Weapon - Jan'alai's Precision

Gems

In Midnight, the gem system is exactly the same as before. You have the option to run 1 unique Diamond gem, and there are 4 to choose from. The effects of these Diamond Gems in Midnight are much less interesting than previously, however, and now you simply opt for either Indecipherable Eversong Diamond for the highest main stat increase, or Powerful Eversong Diamond.

The Powerful Eversong Diamond requires a combination of different coloured gems to boost the critical strike effect, in which you’ll need 1 Peridot, 1 Lapis, 1 Amethyst, and 1 Garnet in other slots.

Garnet: Flawless Versatile Garnet
