Reins of the Quantum Courser Mount Item in Patch 10.1.5

The Reins of the Quantum Courser is a newly introduced item in Patch 10.1.5. It's an extremely rare item that can be obtained as a drop from the final boss, Chrono-Lord Deios, in the brand new Mega-Dungeon known as Dawn of the Infinite.

A special thanks to Moudi and Ursoc for repeatedly defeating the final boss over and over until we finally got our hands on the item. You guys rock!

The Quantum Courser

According to the item tooltip, when you use it, the Quantum Courser transforms into a random mount from the past, which is a vague description. Up until yesterday, we only had details that the item could transform into the Midnight's Eternal Reins from Karazhan. However, after a whopping 10+ runs of the mega-dungeon, Moudi, Ursoc, and I emerged victorious, obtaining not just one, but two Reins of the Quantum Courser.

We got the following mounts by using the item:

All three of the confirmed mounts share a common trait—they are all obtained from dungeons. This includes the Midnight's Eternal Reins from Karazhan.

As soon as more information becomes available, we will update the article.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the commonly asked questions I came across on Twitter, and I'll do my best to address them here.

Is it possible to obtain multiple Quantum Coursers in a single run?

Based on my group's experience, we actually received two of them simultaneously, leading me to believe that it is indeed possible to acquire more than just one per boss kill.

Is it possible to use the item multiple times?

Unfortunately, once you use the Quantum Courser, it gets consumed, and you will need to obtain another one from the boss.

Final Words

This is an incredibly clever approach to keep the mega-dungeon relevant beyond the enhanced item level. In Patch 10.1.5, where time is the central theme, this item aligns perfectly. By using it, you'll receive a mount from the past, which truly encapsulates the essence of the patch.
