The Core: Method's Artzie

The Core: Method's Artzie

It's time for some more top guild top members to chat to us about what makes them tick. This time it's Method's Greek shadowpriest Artzie so let's see what he has to say.

Tell us about yourself a bit.

Hello! My name is Zacharias and I'm from Greece. I am 22 years old and I'm studying computer engineering. I play a shadowpriest in Method, Artzie, and have been for around 2 years and few months (from when Putricide normal mode was released @ ICC 'till now).

What's your WoW history been like so far?

Prepare for a long story.
I used to play a rogue in vanilla in Sunstrider horde ( <3 ) in a guild named Serpent. Joined them and farmed MC, but we were stuck on Razorgore.
After a few months I joined Savant on the same server until TBC. I raided a few of Karazhan, SSC, TK, MH, BT there while guild-hopping for a bit between many guilds on the server! At the end of TBC i ended up in a guild at Genjuros named Lost Crew, farmed Sunwell with them a bit.
During the start of WotLK, raided Naxx, OS, Malygos with them. In Ulduar (and that's when I switched from rogue to priest) I ended up in a guild named Simulacrum on Lightning's Blade, but after a few months I joined a guild @ Executus named eXistenz, farmed Ulduar hardmodes and ToC hardmodes.
The guild disbanded after some time, and that's when I chose to go hardcore. I applied to Method and was lucky that they were recruiting shadowpriests at that moment so got in! (After all this time though, one can easily say that THEY were lucky to have me huehue)

What do you think makes you a good raider, why are you a core part of your guild?

I do damage and do not die. I guess.

What were some of your favorite moments in WoW?

Hmm iI'll probably lie on this because I can't think of anything better now. I'll say it was when I got Ashes of Al'ar but that's because it happened recently so.
Another good moment was realm first Malygos while I was on rogue.
Also I can remember Lich King 10man heroic raid with Method. We were 10man group number 3 but we still cleared it first, before the other 2 groups. Was a good feeling as a trial back then. After that of course the world firsts with Method in Cata. Yeah, as i said there are more, but can't remember!

What was your favorite boss kill and favorite raid?

Favorite raid was Naxxramas 40man, by far. Black temple was really good as well. As for the favorite boss kill I'd say the Lich King 10man heroic, that's just what came in mind :/

What are the best and worst features of your main class?

Best: Utility + damage at the same time
Worst: Scumbag orbs

What would be the single most important thing about playing your main class well?

Shadowpriest is not hard, and that's why you will only find very slight diferrences between top shadowpriests, but I guess the most important thing is multidotting-dotting properly.

What makes your guild special, what separates it from the other top guilds?

Most of the people here have been playing together for a long time. Most of them even were in the guild before I joined Method. I can't say why we differ from the other top guilds, because I don't know much about them and how the guild environment is there, but I guess I could say what makes us better than others, is that we push harder during progress.

What is your favorite game outside of WoW?

Tetris, or Diablo 3.

Would you say DS was a successful dungeon overall (regardless of the drama surrounding the WF race at the start)?

Yeah, it was ok, pretty dumb that they designed Spine for example only doable while class-stacking during progress though. And after that Madness being a joke compared to Spine. Took us 50ish tries to kill the last boss of the expansion, while Ragnaros took like 500 tries.

What are your thoughts on the beta so far?

Haven't played much. I saw a few things about the changes on shadowpriests, but since they literally change everything patch after patch, I don't log often. Also, haven't done any levelling mostly because there was no point as alliance ( we are horde now ) and due to the servers crashing so much.

What are you most looking forward to in MoP, aside from raiding?

Pvp maybe, if it's worth it.

What do you think about the new talent system, both in general and specifically for your main (and maybe alt) class?

In general it's good, as for my main class, it changes patch after patch, can't tell 100%. It's ok I guess from the first looks.

What's the biggest change coming in MoP and is it good or bad?

Scumbag shadow orbs not so important anymore.

Would you say raiding (and the game in general) is going in a better direction or not and why?

Time will tell! Mop looks exciting so far.
