The Blood of Dawnwalker, as any good RPG should be, is packed to the rafters with gear. Gear that can help you become a powerful vampire, a legendary swordsman, and a crafty witch. But, some items are superior to others.
Uncommon and rare items will get you through the first portion of the game. But, before long, you'll be keen to get some armor worthy of seeing your through right to the end.
If you want to have an end-game build ready for Brencis, you'll need one of these pieces of Armor.

Ambrus' Armor

- (-) Vampiric Ability Cooldown
- (-) Attack stamina cost
- (+) Passive activation charge restoration from perfect blocks
- (+) Activation charge restoration from attacks
Firstly, we have the Armor that you'll gain for completing the Guilded Gauntlet questline. This can be looted from Ambrus' corpse after you take them down.
This armor is one that can be acquired relatively early if you are actively seeking out Ambrus' Blood transports. It's a solid night time Armor option which allows you to get the most out of vampire abilities and allows you to be more offensive due to the lowered attack stamina cost.
Want help gaining this armor set? Here is our Guilded Gauntlet guide to help you take down Ambrus.
Bakir's Armor

- (+) Weapon damage
- (+) Stamina gain from perfect blocks
- (-) Dodge stamina cost
- (-) Block stamina cost
Keeping with the theme of Boyar armor, we have Bakir's Armor next, which can be gained if you choose to kill them during The Lunar Game questline.
This armor is ideal for a daytime build, especially for those who are playing on greater difficulties and need to rely on near-perfect blocks throughout the entire fight. This allows you to keep stamina full and deal more damage when opportunities do present themselves.
Want to ace the Lunar Games and take down Bakir? We have a Lunar Games quest guide that will help immensely.
Armor of the Arbiter Set

| Armor | Bonuses |
| Enhanced Armor of the Arbiter |
|
| Enhanced Shin Guards of the Arbiter |
|
| Enhanced Boots of the Arbiter |
|
| Enhanced Bracers of the Arbiter |
|
In our humble opinion, the best Armor set in the entire game. But also, one that requires the most effort to obtain. This armor set can be forged if you complete the Bulwark Against Darkness Quest. This requires you to obtain Quicksilver, Lizard Moult, the Relic of a Saint, and Silk Threads.
When you do this and have the Uriashi Hermit craft your Armor, you'll gain a fully upgraded version of this armor. Which can be equipped individually to lean into vampire, swordmanship, witchcraft, and stamina buff builds. Or can be worn as a full set for a complete and well-rounded build without the need to mix and match.
If you want a complete guide on how to acquire these components and craft this armor, have a look at our Bulwark Against Darkness guide.
Isbrands Armor

| Armor | Stats |
| Isbrand's Plate |
|
| Isbrand's Greaves |
|
If you follow Lacra's questline, you'll eventually be tasked with heading into the heart of a Kobold lair, where Brencis has stashed away his sire, Isbrand. Manage to get through this cave, and you'll find his Armor in a chest not far away from where he had been restrained.
Then, in the hills nearby, at another Kobold Lair, you'll find the matching Greaves for this set.
This set is best for a night-time build, as it gets the most out of claw attacks, while also upping your base vampiric health and your ability to heal using Voracious Bite.
Runic Enhancement

- (+) Magical damage reduction
- (+) Damage against supernatural enemies
- (+) Witchcraft ability damage
- (+) Lifesteal from attacks
This armor is gained for completing the Font of Life questline with Anca, unlocked after completing Echoes of Silenced Bells.
This one is a bit of a hard sell, because no matter how much you upgrade this legendary armor, you will never have any armor protection from this Runic Enhancement, as it's effectively wearing paint as Armor.
However, these runes you've painted on yourself make you a formidable force when it comes to witchcraft. Dealing more damage against Supernaturals, but above all, offering lifesteal, which makes up for the lack of armor if you are constantly on the offensive.
Ancient Hero's Set

| Armor | Stats |
| Ancient Hero's Armor |
|
| Ancient Hero's Greaves |
|
| Ancient Hero's Vambraces |
|
The Ancient Hero's Set is one that is a little tricky to piece together, as all parts are found in different ruins around Vale Sangora. The Armor is found under the Swartrau Treasury during A Hero's End, the Greaves are found at the end of the Font of Life questline, and the Vambraces are found during one of Xanthe's side quests, 'Path of Glory'.
However, if you take the time to find all these composite parts, you'll have a set that is ideal for day builds, with incredible action recharge, boosts to human health, and boosts to witchcraft abilities.
Wolven Bracers

- (+) Claw damage
- (+) Damage against animals
- (+) Claw critical hit chance
- (+) Claw critical hit damage
If you're looking for a build that is effective against animal enemies like bears, hogs, and wolves specifically, then you should make use of the Wolven Bracers, which can be found after you defeat a squad of bandits huddled around an intercepted blood transport.
These are ideal for hunting animals at night specifically, as they up your claw damage, and well as offer boosts to your claw criticals into the bargain.
Pieter's Garb

- (+) Maximum human health
- (+) Weapon critical hit chance
- (+) Weapon critical hit damage
- (+) Human health regeneration
Next, we have an Armor set handed down from your old man, Pieter. This armor is found by following the Buried Past questline until you are tipped off by Volk about your father's riches from his Mercenary days. Then you'll need to head out to Giant's Pawns to dig it up.
This is a daytime piece which ups your human health, your weapon critical effectiveness, and even offers human regeneration, which is something that is much harder to come by compared to when you are a vampire. So, if you want the safety net of health regeneration, this one is a super option.
Need help making sense of this quest involving Volk? Here is a complete walkthrough of Buried Past.
Vhakhir's Treads & Bracers

| Armor | Stats |
| Vhakhir's Treads |
|
| Vhakhir's Bracers |
|
While Ambrus and Bakir do offer up their own personal Armor as a reward for defeating them, they aren't the only Armor items you'll gain from beating Boyars.
If you beat Bakir in the Treasury and look in a nearby chest, you'll find the Vhakhir Bracers. Whereas if you look in Chariklea's room after defeating Xanthe, you'll gain the Vhakhir Treads.
These are super night build options, as they offer health regeneration, get the most out of vampiric abilities, up your claw damage, and deal more damage against humans. Perfect for someone looking to up their Corruption in the most evil way possible.
Mercenaries Greaves

- (+) Maximum Stamina
- (+) Damage Against Supernatural enemies
- (-) Block stamina cost
- (+) Maximum human health
Then lastly, we have the Mercenary's Greaves, which can be purchased from the Blacksmith/Armourer in Swartrau City. Specifically, the one found up the stairs in the square with all the market stalls.
These are excellent Greaves for a day build, as they offer great damage output against supernatural enemies, bring down stamina costs, and increase your health. A perfect accompaniment for Pieter's Garb to become the ultimate Mercenary.
