Starting the Stronger Than Achilles Quest (All Prerequisites)

In order to begin the Stronger Than Achilles quest, you will need to have completed several other quests as a prerequisite, all of which are linked to Anca's storyline. Specifically, this quest can be initiated at the Ancient Ruins as soon as you have completed the prior Where Old Devils Lie quest. It will be available during the daytime and has a cost of 6 time segments for completion.

Beginning the Stronger than Achilles quest will see Coen and Anca travel further into the ruins in search of the secrets regarding the Font of Life.

The first section of the quest is rather linear; simply follow Anca into the ruins and clear the first wave of enemies. Now progress forward and follow the stairs down until you reach a door.

Depending on the time of day, you may need to leave Anca overnight and return to her to complete the quest later. However, Anca is vulnerable at this point, so you will need to double-check that she is safe before you leave her behind.

Clear All Rooms to Ensure Anca's Survival

To ensure Anca survives being alone in the ruins, you will need to clear out all rooms within the starting zone and make sure there are no enemies lurking. If you fail to do so, then Anca can be harmed, causing you to fail both the remainder of the quest and her romance.

Once you meet with Anca and continue further into the ruins, follow the path by using the staircases to progress forward and then crouch through the gap. Clear the enemies, and then interact with the Sone Idol to discover that the path forward requires a blood sacrifice.

Blood Sacrifice - Should You Choose Coen or Anca?

You can now choose whether Coen performs this blood sacrifice or lets Anca do it. While this choice doesn't have a major impact other than receiving some damage, it can be handy to know what each outcome involves for immersion purposes, or if you have interest in fully playing out the romance arc with Anca.

• "Alright, wish me luck" - Coen performs the blood sacrifice. He then has another choice:
• • Keep hand still - Coen completes the blood sacrifice on his own.
  • Remove hand - Anca helps Coen to finish the blood sacrifice.
• "Hell no. I'm not doing that." Anca will offer to do the blood sacrifice.
• • Choosing "If you think that's the best." will see Anca complete the offering.

Whoever completes the sacrifice will be damaged, so Coen is the easier option to choose, so to speak, since he can heal himself.

Fallen Hero Fight

Completing the blood sacrifice kicks off a fight with the Fallen Hero. Work with Lacra to defeat this foe, and you will now need to continue through the door to reach the next section of the ruins.

How to Find a Way Forward

You now need to find a way forward. Take the path on the right and cross the gap of broken terrain. Use focus mode on the wall to reveal a boarded-up door. Removing this barricade will allow Anca to rejoin you.

Now work with her to open the next stone door, and you will find yourself passing through into an open room with a stone pillar/tablet. Use your Astral Communication with the stone tablet to activate the runes, and the next test will immediately begin, spawning a new wave of enemies.

Guardians of the Font Fight

Now you must defeat these Guardians of the Font, which remain the final obstacle between you and the Font of Life. Be patient, time your dodges and parries, and wither them down. Don't forget to use your vampiric abilities to reposition and apply burst damage and lifesteal.

After you complete the fight, a new pathway will open up, finally leading you to the Font of Life. Use focus mode to investigate the room, and you will eventually come to an important decision - to destroy the Font of Life, or not to destroy the Font of Life?

Should You Destroy the Font of Life or Not?

You will now have three choices, each leading to a different outcome for the quest. You can choose for Coen to drink from the Font of Life, for Anca to drink from the Font of Life, or for Coen to destroy the Font of Life, meaning neither of them gets to drink from it.

Here is a complete breakdown of every choice and what happens when you select this option:

• Let Anca use the Font of Life: Anca loses her witchcraft abilities.
• Let Coen use the Font of Life: Gain the Font of Life Perk, enabling HP regeneration during the daytime.
• • Font of Life: Grants passive regeneration of Human Health.
• Destroy the Font of Life: Neither Coen nor Anca get the outcomes above, but you will receive the Legendary Leg Armor known as the Ancient Greaves instead.
• • Ancient Greaves: Heavy Trousers, Legendary rarity, 7.1 weight, 308 Armor.
  • Ancient Greaves: +9.7% Witchcraft ability damage, +19.4% Activation charge from Block, +19.4% Passive Activation charge restoration, +6.5% Magical damage reduction.
