Raid Setup

Introduction

This is a 4 target Cleave fight. The bosses do not share HP pool.

Recommended Setup: 2 Tanks / 4-6 Healers / 12+ DPS

Useful utilities: Immunities 

Progress Tip: Running 5-6 healers will make the fight much easier

Primal Blizzard Mechanic Icon

Primal Blizzard

Touch fire to reset stacks

When Kadros reaches 100 energy he will channel a freezing storm, inflicting 4,806 Frost damage every second. You take 10% increased Frost damage, and reduced Fire damage taken by 10% for 15 seconds.

This stacks. If you reach 10 stacks, you will get trapped in a Frost Tomb (Boomkins will love you!) and take frost damage every second until Frost Tomb is destroyed. To avoid reaching 10 stacks, you need to run into Scorched Ground. Touching it will remove all stacks.

Frost spell that is cast on a random player, inflicting 48,065 damage. You should assign players to interrupt this constantly to prevent larger damage spikes on random players and to be able to move the boss into a better position.

The boss will not move while casting.

Kadros will channel a spell that inflicts 48,065 frost damage to all players every 6 seconds, until defeated. This unavoidable raid damage increases over time.

Stand next to Earthen Pillar to remove it, stay away from other players

Dathea marks several players with a lighting circle that inflicts 34,344 Nature damage on impact and an additional 15,455 Nature damage every 2 seconds for 20 seconds. Increased Nature damage taken by 8% for each application. This ability stacks.

If you are within 5 yards of another player during Conductive Mark cast, the spell will duplicate to that player. Touching players with your lighting circle will also duplicate the spell onto them. 

Getting close to an Earthen Pillar (5 yards) will remove the mark. On Heroic the mark will expire after 20 sec, on Mythic its permanent until removed via Earthen Pillar!

Interruptible Nature spell that is cast on a random player, inflicting 48,065 damage.

You should assign players to interrupt this constantly to prevent larger damage spikes on random players and to be able to move the boss into a better position. The boss will not move while casting.

Heal

Inflicts 24,032 damage to a random player and then jumps to nearby players.

Nothing you can do about it, it's just unavoidable raid damage.

Dathea will channel a spell that inflicts 48,065 nature damage to all players every 6 seconds until defeated. The damage increases over time. Unavoidable Raid damage.

Earthen Pillar Mechanic Icon

Earthen Pillar

Dodge the initial spawn then destroy them with Meteor Axes

Opalfang erupts pillars of rock from the earth at the locations of several players, inflicting damage and knocking them back if they stay in the swirl (pillar spawn animation).

Each Pillar will cast Quaking Pulse and inflict 2,403 Nature damage to all players every 2 seconds until destroyed with Meteor Axes. This is unavoidable, even though it might look as if it only damages people standing close to the Pillars.

Tank Swap

Inflicts 240,325 damage to her current target (Tank) and increases all Physical damage taken by 100%. This stacks. You should Tank Swap each time this ability is cast.

Opalfang will channel a spell that inflicts 72,097 nature damage every 6 seconds until defeated. Damage increases over time. Unavoidable Raid damage.

Meteor Axes Mechanic Icon

Meteor Axes

Soak to split the damage, split into two groups

Embar will target 2 players and throw Axes at them, inflicting 309,101 Fire damage split between all targets within 10 yards of the marked player, and increase damage taken from Meteor Axes by 300% for 15 sec.

Embar throws each Axe with a small delay, meaning if you were to stack both, you would take 300% increased damage from the second Axe hit. Do not stack the circles.

Each Axe will spawn Scorched Ground on the ground upon impact, you use this to remove the stacks of Primal Blizzard. Make sure that at least 3-4 players help soak each Axe cast to reduce damage done.

Tank Ability + Frontal Cone

When Embar reaches 100 energy, she infuses her Axe with lava and cleaves the player(s) in front of her for 192,260 Fire Damage and an additional 48,065 Fire damage every 1.5 seconds. This stacks. This is a simple frontal cleave, so never stand in front of Embar unless you are the Tank. If you do get hit by it, just blame it on the Tank.

Enbar will channel a spell that inflicts 48,065 Fire damage every 6 seconds until defeated. Damage increases over time. Unavoidable Raid damage.

Strategy

Split the raid into 2 groups. One melee camp and one ranged camp.

Ranged should always make sure to be loosely spread by at least 5 yards to not risk spreading Conductive Mark. Melees need to be on high alert for every Conductive Mark cast since it's much harder for them to keep 5 yards distance between each other.

Positioning

Note: Positioning does not matter much on Heroic, but if your guild is planning to clear Mythic content, it's better to get used to the proper positioning to make the transition to Mythic easier.

Tanks should swap between Embar and Opalfang every Crush cast.

Make sure to set up an interrupt rotation on Dathea and Kadros in order to reduce damage spikes on the raid from Lightning Bolt / Frost Spike and to help tanks to move bosses into the proper position easier.

As players spawn Earthen Pillars, both camps should make sure to pre-position themselves closer to the pillars, this will allow you to remove Conductive Mark’s faster and to destroy Earthen Pillars with Meteor Axes without having to move a lot. Generally if you see a player run around with a Meteor Axes circle, someone is going to die.

Meteor Axes will mostly target 1 ranged and 1 melee player. Players targeted should always look to clear as many Earthen Pillars as possible with one hit. Everyone should help soak the impact to reduce damage done on the targeted player. Melee’s should prioritize the melee soak and ranged the range soak.

Note: You can SOLO Meteor Axes with Spell Immunity but you should still aim to clear Earthen Pillars while doing so. 

When Kadros Icewrath reaches 100 energy he will cast Primal Blizzard. Make sure you are standing close to Scorched Ground in order to remove the stacks of Primal Blizzard. Generally you should aim to reset your Primal Blizzard debuff at around 4-6 stacks. 

From here, the abilities repeat until the end, however you need to pay attention to Boss Timers / Energy as some abilities will overlap at some point.

Example: You might get Meteor Axes and Conductive Marks at the same time. In that scenario the players soaking Meteor Axes should look to spread as much as possible inside the circle. Immunities are perfect for the overlaps if the RNG gods pick a player that has one.

All bosses need to be around the same health at all times. This will make the fight much easier towards the end. If one or multiple bosses are much lower compared to others, it’s very hard to slow/stop damage on them. If they die, they will cast their ultimate ability until all bosses are defeated. In a scenario where you kill 3 bosses but the 4th boss has 30% hp left, you would not be able to heal the ticking raid damage (3 bosses casting their ultimate ability) before you can defeat the last boss.

Ideally you want all 4 bosses to hit 5% hp left at the same time.

Be prepared for large AoE damage when bosses start dying.
