The Shield Saw can be further upgraded with the help of Runes found in the later chapters of the game. These Runes enhance your shield by giving different kinds of damage bonuses to your parries.

Upgrades
TIER 1: Induction: Extends the duration of the stun effect, keeping demons locked in place longer and giving you more time to clean up or reposition.
TIER 2: Megaburst : Increases the radius of the lightning strike, letting it affect more demons at once. Great for controlling larger crowds or breaking up aggressive waves.
TIER 3: Gigawatt: Applies Shock to all affected demons, increasing the damage they take for a short period. Helps you capitalize on the stun window for extra punishment.

Heaven Splitter Rune
Strikes demons with lightning when you parry a Hell Surge attack, stunning them on impact. Also stuns nearby demons in a small radius, giving you breathing room or an opening for melee attacks. It's ideal for locking down tight groups or interrupting dangerous attacks before they land. As the final Rune that you unlock, it gives you the most power in the game, allowing you to deal unholy amounts of damage to a large group of demons.
