Raid Setup

Introduction
Welcome to our Mythic The Soul Hunters Boss Guide, for the Manaforge Omega Raid. Learn about the Mythic specific fight mechanics and the strategy we recommend to defeat this boss on Mythic difficulty!
This guide focuses on a Mythic strategy, and won’t explain the basics of the fight, so make sure you read through the Heroic version of the guide for this boss if you are unfamiliar with the encounter.
Fight Style: 3 Target Council Fight
Recommended Setup: 2x Tank / 5x Healer / 13x DPS
Required utilities: None
Hero/Lust usage: On Pull
Easy Mode
General:
- Bring an extra healer; healing is the main challenge.
- 3 fixed teams handle Devourer's Ire. Healers dispel themselves/partners. No Mass Dispel.
- 3 players (ideally melee) soak Tank souls, but never if they have Ire.
Phase 1:
- The Hunt: 3 charges, each needs 3-4 soakers. Use immunities/externals for solos.
- 1st: melee soak if not soloed.
- 2nd: ranged soak if not soloed.
- 3rd: anyone without debuff if not soloed.
- Devourer's Ire: Teams soak puddles near Ilyssa, then grip, then continue soaking.
- After 3 Hunts: debuffed team + next team stack on Red marker to pass debuff.
- Healers: watch tanks and prepare for Spirit Bomb absorbs.
- Always dispel just after an intermission ended.
Intermissions:
- 1 & 2: Go to the assigned marker, soak orbs, dodge lines, stay close (chains).
- 3: Stack Red before start > run left/behind boss on first jump > out-range if second jump is across > react to third (check strategy section for more info).
- After Intermission 3: short P1, kill Ilyssa first for extra time later.
Mechanics
Eradicate
Adarus creates shadows at random locations that do a small frontal and deal massive damage to anyone hit by it.
The Hunt
Targets 3 players now, and applies weakened pray to players soaking, preventing them from soaking again in the next 10 seconds.
Eye Beam
Applies a stacking DoT every 0.5 seconds to everyone getting hit, that lasts for 36 seconds. Not really problematic, but does put extra pressure on players that got accidentally hit by it, to not get hit again while the debuff is up.
Sigil of Chains
Pulls the entire raid toward Ilyssa and reduces their movement speed by 60% for 6 seconds. Pre-Assign speed buffs here to negate the effect.
Soul Tether
During the Intermission, 3 players are chained together and take extra damage if they move more than 14 yards away from each other.
Strategy
This fight is a significant step up in difficulty compared to Heroic. However, thanks to how structured it is, the encounter feels less chaotic and more scripted once you understand the flow.
We recommend bringing an extra healer here. The fight has no real damage check, but the healing requirements are extremely demanding.
Assignments
You will need 3 dedicated teams to handle the Devourer's Ire debuff.
Recommended setup:
- Healer - Healer - Ranged DPS
- Healer - Ranged DPS - Ranged DPS
- Healer - Ranged DPS - Ranged DPS
Assign dispels clearly. Each healer should always dispel themselves or their partner. That means the same 3 healers will always handle dispels.
Mass Dispel is not recommended, if all 3 debuffs are dispelled at once, the raid takes far too much damage, without a chance to cast a heal in between.
You also need 3 players (ideally melee) to soak the tank souls. This assignment is more flexible and can be anyone, unless they currently have Devourer's Ire, in which case it hits too hard.
Phase 1 Strategy
Markers: Set up markers before the pull. They’re mainly used for intermissions, but also help with positioning during The Hunt soaks.
The Hunt
This is the hardest mechanic on Mythic.
Three players are targeted in sequence by The Hunt. Each Hunt charge must be soaked by at least 3-4 players, though many specs can solo with immunities or externals. Players soaking also have to spread around within the line to not clip each other.
General Rule:
- 1st target: If possible, solo. Otherwise, melee soak.
- 2nd target: If possible, solo. Otherwise, ranged soak.
- 3rd target: If possible, solo (Dispersion, Spellward, etc.). Otherwise, anyone without debuff soaks.
Tips:
- Soloing? Keep the line very short so nobody else gets clipped.
- Externals like Time Dilation make solos without immunity safer.
Devourer’s Ire
This is the second key mechanic. At the start of the fight, your first assigned team picks up the three puddles to gain the debuff.
The rule is simple:
- Always soak the puddles closest to Ilyssa, because that’s where the raid will be pulled for Hunt.
- After the grip, continue soaking unless you need to stop and help cover a Hunt line.
Passing the Debuff
Once all 3 Hunt charges are done, the 3 debuffed players plus the 3 players in the next team stack on Red marker. Things to remember:
- The debuff only jumps to players without it.
- Standing close together guarantees it passes to the correct next team.
The second and third teams repeat the same pattern:
- Clear the area around bosses
- Handle grip and Hunt
- Move to Red marker and get dispelled
Other Notes:
- Healers must watch tank HP closely and be ready for heal absorbs (Spirit Bomb).
- Always dispel just after an intermission ended, call a meetup marker
Intermissions Strategy
Intermissions don’t change much from heroic, but every player is chained to 2 others. Random movement is punished, so awareness and discipline are key.
Intermissions 1 & 2: Go to your assigned marker. Soak your orbs, dodge lines, and don’t move far away or the chain will snap you back and damage you.
The 3rd intermission is a bit trickier because here you need to do heavy moving, while being chained together, and WeakAuras can't help you here.
Stack together on the red marker just before the intermission starts, and wait to see where the boss will jump first.
The rule here is to run left and go behind the boss.
Now when you are there, watch where the next jump is, and if it's across the room, you can out-range it by standing still and hugging the edge.
On the 3rd jump you just have to react accordingly.
Once you are done with the 3rd intermission, you will have a very short P1 again, in which you first need to make sure to kill Ilyssa first, because that will give you some extra time in the enrage intermission, in case you reach it, but make sure the other bosses are at least under 10%.
