Should You Eat the Delicious Mold in Control Resonant?
Short Answer: Yes. You should let Dylan eat the mold.
If you've stumbled upon a Delicious Mold in the Park, then you'll know that Dylan appears to be extremely aware of this mysterious item - almost as if it is calling to him. You may be wondering if you should give in to this temptation and eat the mold, or if this is, in fact, a terrible idea.
Yes, you should let Dylan eat the Mold. Thanks to his powers, he can tank the effects of consumption, along with help from Zoe to snap him out of the trance.
Under the cafe where you likely found your first piece of Delicious Mold, there is a strange gate. By tracking down all four pieces of Delicious Mold and devouring them, you can uncover the truth behind this gate, which will lead you to a Resonant inhabiting The Park.
All Delicious Mold Locations in Control Resonant
Here is where you can find all four Delicious Mold pieces in Control Resonant's Park area. Be sure to keep an ear out for the molds as well as your eyes peeled, as you will be able to hear a notable shimmering sound effect when you are within close proximity of a Delicious Mold.
The first instance of the Delicious Mold that you encounter is the one closest to the gate. It can be found on the map location below, in the remains of a cafe within a sinkhole. Just jump down into the cafe and take a big ol' bite - there's no going back now!
The next three Delicious Molds can be found at different points in The Park - the Gym, the Minimart, and the Pizzaria. These areas will be marked on your map, as in the screenshot below. Remember to clear waves of nearby enemies and listen out for the shimmering effect to help you track each one down, as the map marks the approximate section/building rather than the exact location.
How to find the Park Resonant
After eating all four pieces of Delicious Mold, you will finally be fully connected with the mold - or, err...whatever it is that has been using the mold to lure people in. That's right, there's been one of those Resonants behind things the entire time!
Each time Dylan devours a Delicious Mold and manages to snap out of the effects, he unlocks a segment of the mysterious gate. Once he has eaten all four, the tunnel will be fully opened, enabling you to return to the sinkhole with the cafe and travel through the tunnel to confront The Park resonant. This will trigger a boss battle with The Collective, though, so be prepared!
