Control Resonant: All Yellow Taxi Locations & Puzzle Solutions

In Control Resonant’s open world, you will find many secondary activities to complete. Some of these activities might include finding collectibles, solving puzzles, or completing side quests. However, The Last Taxi side mission brings a mix of all of these into one adventure.

While exploring the city of Control Resonant, you might stumble upon a Taxi that takes you to another dimension where you need to solve a puzzle to escape. This will start the taxi quest; however, finding the other Taxis around the city will require you to discover them through exploration. In this guide, we’ll show you exactly where these taxis are located and how to solve each puzzle.

Downtown Taxi

While Downtown is the first zone you will be able to explore, you will need the Reach ability to get to the area where the Taxi is located. This area is behind Lookout Point. You will find the taxi in the middle of the street among other cars. Once in the taxi’s dimension and after speaking with Mila on the phone, here’s how to solve the puzzle:

Enter the taxi with the sign on top on.
Enter the taxi whose sign stays on when you get close.
Enter the taxi whose sign turns on when you are near another cab.

Central Taxi

The Central Taxi might be the first taxi you encounter since you don’t need any special abilities to reach it. You can find this one to the west of the Patterned Factory. To solve the puzzle of the Central cab, follow the next steps:

Get in the taxi with its rear lights on.
Get in the taxi with the top sign on.
Get in the taxi with the rear, front, and sign lights on.

West Incursion Zone Taxi

You will find the taxi in the West Incursion Zone close to the Fast Travel Door of the Empire Avenue Station. You can reach this taxi by entering the station again and turning left, or by using your traversal abilities like Shift. In this puzzle, you will have to follow the patterns on the streetlight posts. Here is the solution to the taxi puzzles:

Enter the taxi whose post above it is blinking.
Enter the taxi with the post off.
Enter the taxi whose post turns on in a different pattern from the others.

The Park Taxi

You can find the taxi in The Park zone inside the parking garage near the Mold Factory Fast Travel door. To solve the puzzle, you will have to deal with some mold as well:

Clear the mold and use the uncovered parts to fix the taxi.
This time, attach the correct parts; follow the yellow color of the taxi.
Eliminate the small enemies first, then the big one in the middle, to uncover all the loosened parts, and attach the parts back to the taxi.

Evacuation Zone Taxi

The taxi in the Evacuation Zone can be found close to the Main Street Fast Travel door, by the “Unauthorized Mines?” This one is surrounded by enemies and Hiss lasers, so tread carefully. You can solve the puzzle by following these instructions:

Get in the taxi whose lights turn on in a different pattern from the others.
Get in the taxi whose lights blink twice in the pattern.
Get in the taxi whose lights are off.

Underpass Taxi

In the Underpass, you will find the taxi close to the Deepest Underpass Fast Travel Door, by the “Research Site... Again?” area. Here, there will be some enemies nearby, so be ready to fight or evade them. Solve the puzzle with these steps:

Select the taxi whose lights stay on when the streetlights turn off.
Select the taxi whose lights are off when the streetlights go off as well.
Select the taxi whose lights stay off when the streetlights turn on.

Unknown Taxi

You can find this last taxi in the Evac Building island of the Unknown zone. Just turn left when you are out of the Evac Building to find the taxi at the edge of the path. Follow these instructions to solve the puzzle:

Use the portable light to find the shadow that represents a taxi. Get in the taxi with the taxi shadow. Do this three times.

After finding all taxis and solving their puzzles, you will complete The Last Taxi quest and be rewarded with the Untapped Coffee Cup artifact, an item that regenerates your health when out of combat.
