Chapter Five is where most players will really get into a rhythm with Valor Mortis' unique brand of Soulslike action, mainly because you'll have access to all the most important skills and weapons you'll use for the rest of the game.
Because of this, you'll notice the level design getting broader, allowing for quests that require you to go treasure hunting, like The Deserter.
This quest will require the player to find three parts of a rare doll, and in doing so, you'll net yourself a pretty tasty reward, and we aren't talking about honey.
How To Find The Beekeeper's Hut
Beginning from the Under the Bridge Lantern, you'll want to head along the path ahead until you reach two dogs. At this point, there is a fork in the road to the left and right. You'll want to go right, where you will find a grapple point you can use to find the Beekeeper's Hut.
However, if you want to get inside, you'll need to defeat an Eternal Guardsman, a tough enemy that forces you to go toe-to-toe with them in a fencing duel. The key here is to time your parries well, and you should be able to break their posture for an easy kill. However, if you are struggling, an Oil Grenade to set them on fire will make things a little easier.
Defeat them, and you'll get the Beekeeper's Hut Key, and inside you'll find the Perfectionism Amber. However, you aren't done here, as you'll also find a note that will begin the quest and set you on a quest to find Dufour's artifact.
All Beehive Locations
The item that Dufour took to grant him safe passage home has been split into three and hidden in Beehives around the immediate area.
You'll find the first right outside the Hut. You'll want to interact with the one beehive in the group that doesn't have an 'X' on it. Choose the wrong one, and bees will sting you.
The second hive can be found as you head toward the camp just after the Artists' house. They are located in a little nook on the right of the path.
Then the third and final set of Beehives are found just after you cross the bridge and deal with the Remnants of the Iron Regiment. Once you go through the iron gate you need to prop open using stasis, head into the door on your right and you'll find the last set of Beehives.
When you complete the set of three Anubis Figurine Parts, the quest will immediately complete, and you'll be rewarded with a new Amber, Bountiful Harvest. A very useful one as it allows you to gain health from Nephoglobin remnants.
