Choices are a massive part of Blood of Dawnwalker, and Xanthe's Recruiters: Just a Bit More is one you might trip over without some help. Good news: we've got you covered.
It's the same setup as the other Xanthe's Recruiters, like Taste of Power, but this time we have an added third option to consider.
Short answer: Drink the blood yourself. Every option here burns the same three time segments, so you may as well take the one that actually makes you better, and that's the Corruption increase and a free skill for Vampirism. The money from the Blood Addict is tempting, but you get some of it when you kill him anyway.

How to start Xanthe's Recruiters: Just a Bit More

If you've landed here by mistake, here's the gist. It's the same idea as the rest of Xanthe's Recruiter line. Find the Blood Guard Recruiters, deal with them, and loot the Reliquary they leave behind.
The location of this is south of Svartrau City (shown above), in a fairly unassuming bit of forest. To the south is an Ancient Circle, which is well worth doing after. Though it's a fairly hard one if you go there too early.
Just a Bit More Choices Explained
Each of the three choices here will cost you the same amount of time in the end; the way you get there is what matters. Only one option really gives any sort of reward, outside the increase to your threat level and taking a bite out of Xanthe's power.
Drink the blood (recommended)

Just take the blood. Drinking it bumps your Corruption, which is very likely a free level, and pushes you further into the Vampire playstyle. It's the only option that leaves you permanently stronger, and since you're spending the time either way, that's the value pick. The only reason not to is if you want to stave off the blood thirst.
You will also get the Scarlet Shield skill, which gives you a chance to regain health on a successful Block. The chance is increased based on the level of block, with perfect blocks giving the highest chance. Later levels of the skill improve the health regain on a perfect block.
Note: Both this option and destroying the Reliquary will require you to fight the Blood Addict.
Give the blood to the Blood Addict

This is a new choice for Xanthe's Recruiters: Just a Bit More. A Blood Addict will appear at the Reliquary and ask to take it off your hands. If you choose to give it to him, you'll get a decent chunk of cash and some experience. This is the better option if you don't want to drink the blood.
Note: We don't know if there are any long-term consequences of this action. It's possible he'll show up later, but we don't know.
Destroy the Reliquary
Smash the Reliquary and the quest ends on the spot, spilling a bit of blood in the process. This is the pick if you're running a deliberate low-Corruption, non-vampire build and want to keep it that way. Otherwise, you're walking away with nothing to show for those three time segments other than annoying the local vampire lord a little more.
| Drink the blood | Give to the Blood Addict | Destroy the Reliquary | |
| Reward | Increased Corruption and Scarlet Shield Skill | Gain coin | Bloody boots |
| Time Cost | 3 time segments | 3 time segments | 3 time segments |
| Lasting Benefit | Yes | Unknown | No |
| Best For | Vampire builds | Players who like the unknown |
Low-corruption/human builds |
Who is the Blood Addict?
The Blood Addict is the NPC who shows up once you've looted the Reliquary, begging you to give him the blood. Take his deal, and he'll pay you handsomely, then leave. The quest closes out right there.
The real unknown comes from not knowing what the longer-term play is with him. It's very likely it's just a different way to tackle the phial of blood for players not looking to consume it. But, given how Blood of Dawnwalker is with choices, it could come back later. We'll update this post if anything comes of it.
Which Choice Should You Make?

For most players, drink the blood. Every option here costs the exact same three-time segments, so the smart move is the one that leaves you lastingly better off, and that's the Corruption gain and free Vampirism skill.
The Blood Addict's coin is nice but temporary, and destroying the Reliquary hands you nothing at all unless you're actively dodging Corruption. Take the blood, level up, crack on with your night.
