How to get the Tortured Gorger Mount
The Tortured Gorger is a new ground mount released during the Midnight WoW Expansion, available from the vendor Kifaan for 15 Voidlight Marl after completing the Heroic Showdowns achievement. All 6 achievements required for Heroic Showdowns must be completed in the Heroic World Tier of Naigtal and Val.

- Heroic Climate Strange: Val
- Heroic Climate Strange: Naigtal
- Heroic Slugger
Access to Naigtal and Val via the portal in Voidstorm rotates weekly, and each Showdown zone has specific objectives you’ll need to complete in order to earn Heroic Showdowns. Because of this rotation, Heroic Showdowns takes a minimum of 2 weeks to complete. Progress toward earning Heroic Showdowns is account‑wide, so you don’t need to earn all achievements on the same character.
This guide covers how to unlock the Naigtal and Val portal, and complete all achievements required to learn the Tortured Gorger WoW Mount.
Heroic Showdowns Achievement Requirements
To unlock the Tortured Gorger, you must complete all 6 achievements that make up Heroic Showdowns. These achievements take place across the Showdown zones Naigtal and Val, and all of them must be completed on the Heroic World Tier of whichever zone you’re in.
There are 5 achievements with objectives available in both Showdown zones, and 1 achievement that is exclusive to each individual zone:

| Heroic Climate Strange: Naigtal | Dissipate 5 Storms in Naigtal in Heroic World Tier. |
| Heroic Slugger | Defeat 15 rare creatures found in Val or Naigtal on Heroic World Tier. |
A majority of these achievements can be completed passively through regular gameplay, so we recommend checking your current achievement status in your Achievements tab.
Unlocking the Naigtal and Val Portal
Pick up the quests “Stalkers of the Stars” and “Veterans of the Great Dark” from Riftblade Maella in Silvermoon City. She is speaking with a Projected Image of Decimus near the Ritual Site and Void Assault vendors.

After completing and turning in both quests, you’ll receive the “To the Voidstorm and Beyond!” Quest from Riftblade Maella. Continue the questline until the portal to Naigtal and Val is established in Voidstorm: The Howling Ridge. Once the portal is active, the Naigtal and Val Showdown zones will rotate on a weekly schedule.

Completing the Heroic Showdowns Achievements
Since Naigtal and Val rotate weekly, you’ll complete different parts of the Heroic Showdowns achievement depending on which zone is active. Below is a breakdown of each achievement, what you need to do, and which Showdown zone(s) it can be completed in.
Important: Before you begin, make sure you have selected Heroic World Tier, since all achievement progress must be earned on this difficulty.
Heroic: Worlds Ahead
CompletedTo complete Heroic: Worlds Ahead, you’ll need to complete 15 unique World Quests in Naigtal or Val.
- Any active World Quests in either zone counts.
- Each completed World Quest must be unique, meaning you can’t repeat the same one for additional credit.
- You can track which World Quests you still need by clicking on the achievement in your Achievements tab.
World Quests in both zones rotate faster than usual, typically lasting about an hour, with new ones appearing roughly every 20 minutes, making it easier to complete a large number quickly.
Heroic: Power Creep
CompletedTo complete Heroic: Power Creep, you must defeat 10 creatures that have any of the affixes listed in the achievement.
- Affix-empowered enemies appear naturally throughout both Naigtal and Val.
- You can identify an affix-empowered enemy by hovering over the buff icon beneath its nameplate.
- Each defeated affix-empowered enemy must be unique, meaning you can’t defeat the same one for additional credit.
- You can track which affixes you still need by clicking on the achievement in your Achievements tab.
Heroic: Pain of Command
CompletedTo complete Heroic: Pain of Command, you must defeat both Naigtal’s and Val’s specific world boss while on Heroic World Tier.
- World Boss locations are marked on the map with a skull icon.
- Only one world boss is active per week depending on the current Showdown zone.
- Both bosses are difficult and require additional players (check the group finder).

Heroic Climate Strange: Val
CompletedTo complete Heroic Climate Strange: Val, you’ll need to dissipate 5 storms in Val while on Heroic World Tier.
- Storms appear on the map as bonus objectives.
- Each storm contains a short objective you must complete to dissipate it.
- Completing the objective successfully dissipates the storm and awards progress.
Heroic Climate Strange: Naigtal
CompletedTo complete Heroic Climate Strange: Naigtal, you’ll need to dissipate 5 storms in Naigtal while on Heroic World Tier.
- Storms appear on the map as bonus objectives.
- Each storm contains a short objective you must complete to dissipate it.
- Completing the objective successfully dissipates the storm and awards progress.
Heroic Slugger
CompletedTo complete Heroic Slugger, you need to defeat 15 rare creatures found across Val or Naigtal.
- Rares are marked on the map with a silver star icon.
- You can track which rares you still need to defeat by clicking the achievement in your Achievements tab to view your remaining progress.

Purchasing the Tortured Gorger Mount
After completing Heroic Showdowns, the Tortured Gorger mount will be purchasable from The Consortium vendor Kifaan for 15 Voidlight Marl. Kifaan is located in both the Naigtal and Val Umbral Base Camp.
