What Pride means at Method

What Pride means at Method

Pride and celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community is more than just a month. Throughout the year the inclusive community we strive to encourage and promote within Method and externally all has the aim of empowering people to be their true selves and deserving of all our respect, love, and kindness as anyone else.

Method is committed to doing more to extend the awareness and message of Pride and other communities, we want to highlight and celebrate the discovery of new content creators form a wide variety of backgrounds.

What we’re doing to support the community & celebrate Pride

When we sat down as a team and thought about how we wanted to honor and celebrate Pride 2021, we wanted to make sure we approached it with respect to the LGBTQIA+ community. We’re not interested in performative allyship - we want to make an impact.

Through our many ideas we came to the conclusion that the best way to help as allies and members of the community was to drive donations to an important organisation that supports LGBTQIA+ youth.

We’re happy to announce the launch of our 2021 Pride Merch!

The Trevor Project

The Trevor Project was founded in 1998 by the creators of the Academy Award®-winning short film TREVOR, The Trevor Project are renowned for their efforts in leading and providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQA+) young people under 25.

The Trevor Project to some can be a life-line where they may not have anyone who can understand, family, or friends. Offering things such as a 24/7 crisis line, web-chat, and SMS crisis intervention, providing people with the tools, help, aid, and conversation they desperately need in their most vulnerable state. They also have a place to have casual conversations and help people find friends within the community through TrevorSpace, a social networking community for LGBTQ youth ages 13 through 24 and their friends and allies.

Later this month, we will also be putting on a OSRS community charity event called Bingo Bonanza featuring some of your favourite OSRS content creators!
