Rok'Alim the Pounder Mission Guide

This guide focuses on the Heroic Rok’Alim the Pounder encounter in Thousand Needles but also works for the normal version.

Other minis and map mechanics

Rok’Alim the Pounder summons Earth Elementals from the Meeting Stones. In Heroic, the Earth Elementals have the Obsidian Shard talent. The spawn timer depends on the mode:

• Normal: One Earth Elemental every 30 seconds, alternating between the two stones
• Quest: One Earth Elemental every 45 seconds, alternating between the two stones
• Heroic: Two Earth Elementals every 30 seconds, one from each stone

Rok’Alim the Pounder:

• 5000 health
• Armored
• Cave In: 100 Physical damage followed by 25 Physical damage every 0.2 seconds, 4 seconds duration followed by a 1-second cooldown, 9.5 aggro range, the epicenter spawns at a range of 7 in front of Rok’Alim, 5 radius

General strategy

Take the Tower to control the movement of Rok’Alim’s minis. Push at Rok’Alim from the Tower and turn it around with an Unbound tank.

Defend against the Earth Elementals. You should have several minis in your army that can take Earth Elementals down quickly. Angry Chickens, Harpies, and Pyromancer are some of the good options.
