After the rather hectic opening to Phantom Blade Zero, you'll come face-to-face with the first friendly NPC, Yu'er. A character who you would assume would just be a quest giver early on, but through simply following you every step of the way, she becomes a core character.
She'll pop up at friendly encampments you stumble upon, and she'll often have a quest for you to partake in. During the Weeping Creek Valley portion of your adventure, that will be the Apprentice Healer quest.

How To Start Apprentice Healer & Prerequisites
To begin this quest, you simply need to speak to Yu’er at the Outpost. She will only appear after you defeat Peng Meng, so don't go looking for her as soon as you arrive. When you do speak to her, you need to enquire about Gathering Medicinal Herbs. Then she will hand you a recipe and send you out into the world to find the herbs she needs.
However, before you go about actively collecting these herbs, you'll want to go ahead and push on to the end of the chapter and defeat The Hunt. As you will need the Hunter's Chain Sickle Phantom Edge.
Once you have this, you should explore the Valley Sha-Chi Tower, which will allow you to grapple to an area where you can pick up the Base Camp Gate Key, granting you access to the area where two of the three items will be found.
All Herb Locations
There are three herbs that you need to gather in total. The Blood-Stopper Vine, the Congealeaf, and the Blemish Goldleaf. Here is where to find each one
Blood-stopper Vine
This herb can be found right after you encounter The Hunt at the Axemaster's Holding Cell Bell.
Instead of heading across the bridge with the shield enemies, head into the valley below, and head left. You should immediately see an orange glowing item, which is the Blood-Stopper Vine.
Congealeaf
The Congealeaf is located in the area that immediately follows using the Base Camp Key to enter the new area. This is accessed by heading to the Creek Valley Plains Entrance Bell.
Stay above the flooded area below, filled with enemies, and use the wallrun prompt to get to the area just before the Rusted Loong door. This is where you'll find the Congealeaf.
Blemish Goldleaf
Lastly, we have the Blemish Goldleaf, which will only be available to you if you source the Rusted Loong Key. This key can be found in a chest nearest to the Long Pillar Overlook Bell.
This will give you access to the door near where you picked up the Congealeaf. Head through this area and past the Pillar Boss Dragon Statue, and along the path that loops you back to the start of the Creek Valley Plains area, you'll find the Blemish Goldleaf.
Quest Rewards
If you find all three of these herbs, you can then return to Yu'er, and she will give you the Medicine Case. An accessory that ups the potency of all your healing medicines by 20%
