The Shadow Enclave is a base of the Twilight Blade, where they are doing experiments and summoning Void Creatures. In this guide we will go over the Delve mechanic, Trash mobs and Boss mechanics, as well as all the story variations and Sturdy Chest Locations for the Shadow Enclave.
There are 3 versions of the Shadow Enclave Delve:
The Shadow Enclave Delve Entrance Location
The Shadow Enclave is located in the south of Eversong Woods, with the entrance in a hard to spot cave.

The Shadow Enclave Delve Overview
This section covers things relevant to all versions of Shadow Enclave.
Delve Mechanic
The delve mechanic for the Shadow Enclave is Eyes of Antenorian, which are floating eyes that search around the delve. If you are spotted by one of the eyes, it will do a frontal cone towards you which deals heavy damage and knocks you back. The cone also damages enemies and can be used to defeat elites fairly easily.
Delve Mobs
Shadow Enclave has Twilight cultist enemies. These are the ones that we feel are worth highlighting.
Twilight Ogre Mage is a caster with two interruptible casts: Shadow Bolt and Sullen Shadow Bolt. Shadow Bolt deals minor damage and can be ignored for the most part. Sullen Shadow Bolt deals much higher damage and should be interrupted.
Umbral Skullcrasher is a melee mob who deals minor melee damage, and has the ability Twilight Crash. After a short charge time they will jump on a nearby player, dealing a small amount of damage around them. They also use Sacrificial Aegis which puts a large absorb shield on them. This can be interrupted, although if you have casters in the same group you should prioritize interrupting them.
Shadowburn Vortex are large elemental casters who cast Malicious Ray, which is an interruptable channel on nearby targets that deals moderate damage.
Delve Boss
The boss for Shadow Enclave is Lord Anternorian. This is probably the most difficult delve boss, especially on higher difficulties, as he has a one shot mechanic with a pretty tight damage check.
- Shadow Bolt is cast fairly often and can be interrupted. It deals moderate damage so if you miss an interrupt you may need a defensive.
- Teleport causes Lord Anternorian to blink a short distance. He will leave a puddle between his new position and his old position, which deals heavy damage over time if you stand in it.
- Annihilation is a long cast which will one shot you if not interrupted. At the start of the cast Lord Anternorian will summon 3 orbs and shield 2 of them and himself. When you destroy the unshielded orb, one of the other orbs will become un-shielded, unless there are no more orbs in which case the boss will lose his shield. Kill the orbs in order to remove the shield from Lord Anternorian; at which point his cast gets interrupted, and he gets stunned and take additional damage.

Dealing with Lord Anternorian can be difficult, and one reason is that his teleport makes him move around uncontrollably, possibly into bad spots. To help counteract that, we recommend attempting to keep him as central as possible. Make sure to interrupt Shadow Bolt not only to prevent damage but also help reposition him after he teleports.
When he casts Annihilation try to make sure Valeera is alive (this can be difficult since she likes to stand in the damage over time from the teleport) as she does massive damage to the orbs. If you are struggling with the damage check of the orbs, try to save your cooldowns to get them down quicker.
Mirror Shine - Story Variant
The Mirror Shine version of Shadow Enclave has a different delve mechanic than the other two versions. Instead of Eyes of Lord Anternorian, the area is covered in Darkness. Standing in the Dark area will cause you to have a chance to be eaten by the Grue. We are unsure what this means as it was bugged during testing. Just be wary of standing in the Darkness.
To counteract the Darkness you have to move mirrors to reflect light. Standing in the light will give you the debuff Dazzled, which increases your damage taken by 25%. Dazzled also affects enemies. Moving the mirrors is fairly simple. Click on them to pick them up, then use your extra action button to drop them. You will get a preview of where the light will land. If you get in combat while carrying a mirror, you automatically drop it where you stand, and can pick it back up after.
The main objective is to destroy six Shadow Nexus around the delve, by pointing light from a mirror at them. We recommend following the pattern in the map below. Once you have destroyed all six you can take on the boss.

Traitor’s Due - Story Version
In the Traitor’s Due version of Shadow Enclave you can skip a lot of mobs at the start by jumping down, and take a little fall damage. The first task is to destroy the two void focuses, by simply defeating the enemies nearby. You can use the Eyes of Antenorian to help but be careful of knocking enemies back into the groups you skipped.
The next task is to destroy three void focuses, again by killing mobs nearby. Destroying each focus will spawn an elite. If possible we recommend trying to avoid the Eyes of Antenorian until the elite spawns, then use them to quickly defeat each elite.
Once you have disrupted all 3 rituals you can move on to the boss.
Shadowy Supplies - Story Version
The Shadowy Supplies version of Shadow Enclave starts with you talking to Doleana, who will ask you to collect supplies from around the delve. There are two ways to collect supplies: the first is to find times around the delve, the second is to defeat enemies who will drop supplies on the floor and you can simply run over them to collect them.
Once you have collected 30 supplies you can take on the boss.
The Shadow Enclave Sturdy Chest Locations
There are a total of 3 Sturdy Chests located within the Shadow Enclave. You don’t need any special version active to find them, although, we don’t recommend collecting them in the Mirror Shine version due to the Darkness delve mechanic.
