The Parhelion Plaza is the only Midnight delve on the Isle of Quel’Danas, and being near the Sunwell it is a key location for the void to attack. In this guide we will go over the Delve mechanic, Trash mobs and Boss mechanics, as well as all the story variations and Sturdy Chest Locations for Parhelion Plaza.
There are 3 versions of the Parhelion Plaza delve:
- March of the Arcane Brigade
- Holding the Line
- Bombing Run
Parhelion Plaza Delve Entrance Location
Parhelion Plaza is near the west of the sunwell, but can be difficult to find as it is located downstairs inside a building.

Parhelion Plaza Delve Overview
This section covers things relevant to all versions of Parhelion Plaza.
Delve Mobs
These are the enemies we feel were worth highlighting in Parhelion Plaza.
Domnaar Enforcers deal minor melee damage and cast a circle around them, which deals heavy damage if you stand in it.
Controlled Slaughterclaw are large elites, who deal fairly high physical damage. They have two abilities: Seismic Stomp which deals AoE damage and puts a damaging circle around everyone, forcing you to spread out; and Blood Frenzy which buffs the Slaughterclaws with 5% attack speed and 10% increased movement speed.
Shadowguard Phasehunter cast Corporal Cleave, which is a frontal cone that deals heavy damage.
Delve Boss
The boss in Parhelion Plaza is Gladius Slaurna. This fight is fairly difficult, even on lower difficulties.
- He occasionally summons Sacrificial Void Callers which spam Void Bolts. The mobs are immune to CC but can be interrupted.
- Voidscar Raze is a frontal beam which seems to prefer the furthest away target. After a short duration Slaurna will send a copy along the beam, dealing damage and knocking back anything in its way. He will also consume any adds along the path, increasing his damage by 10% per add.
- Devouring Nova is a short uninterruptible cast which deals moderate damage and has a knockback. Make sure to position well, as you can be pushed off the platform. If this is cast while the adds are alive, the cast kills them and Slaurna gains a permanent 10% increased damage for each add.
Dealing with Gladius Slaurna can be difficult, as he will consistently target Valeera with Voidscar Raze, making him hard to position.
Slaurna usually summons the adds nearby him, which means if you take him near the edge of the platform they usually spawn close together. However being near the edge puts you at risk of being knocked off the platform from Devouring Nova.
We recommend interrupting and killing the adds as fast as possible, so he does not gain damage buffs from Devouring Nova, and keeping an eye on how you position yourself. Once he is low enough, and you have damage cooldowns available, ignore the adds and defeat the boss.
March of the Arcane Brigade - Story Variant
In the March of the Arcane Brigade, you need to fill a progress bar by defeating Devouring Host enemies and destroying 3 Void Pylons. To destroy the Void Pylons you will first need to activate Sentinels around the area, which will then run over and destroy the Void Pylons.
We recommend sticking to the outside edge of the delve and doing a circle around the area. This should give you enough enemies and find enough Sentinels to destroy the 3 Void Pylon. While in the delve you may find Ballista Bolts. During our testing we could pick these up but they did not do anything. We think this may be an alternative to the Sentinels to destroy the Void Pylons but we can not confirm.
Once you have filled the bar and destroyed 3 Void Pylons the boss will spawn.
Holding the Line - Story Variant
In Holding the Line version of Parhelion Plaza you get a special mechanic called Artifact Assistance, which lets you pick one of two weapons from Sunwell Plateau to assist you in clearing the delve. Which two weapons you are offered vary from a pool of four weapons: Cosmic Infuser, Warp Slicer, Netherstand Longbow, and Staff of Disintegration.
- Cosmic Infuser deals heavy damage and stuns a target for 5 seconds. This is by far the best weapon for everyone.
- The Warp Slicer charges you into an enemy and deals AoE damage with a 15 second cooldown. This is your second best pick if you are melee.
- The Netherstand Longbow deals damage to targets in a smaller area around your main target. This is your second best pick if you are ranged.
- Staff of Disintegration deals damage to a single target. This is the weakest weapon for melee, but is possibly better than the Warp Slicer for ranged.
In the first stage of Holding the Line, you need to repair 8 barriers around the delve and fill a bar by defeating Devouring Host enemies. We recommend following the route we have laid out below, which leads you past 8 barriers as well as all the required enemies.

Once all 8 barriers are repaired you can take on the boss who spawns on the center platform.
Bombing Run - Story Variant
In the Bombing Run version of the Parhelion Plaza you must destroy void portals around the area. To do this: collect a bomb from near the entrance, enter the portal, and defeat the mobs inside. You can drop the bomb when you are in combat and pick it back up after combat ends. Then use the bomb to destroy the portal. Make sure not to leave the portal before destroying it, otherwise it will close, and you will not be able to get back in and complete the delve.
After completing this you will need to continue round to all of the portals in the delve. Once you have destroyed all of the portals the boss will spawn.
Parhelion Plaza Sturdy Chest Locations
There are a total of 3 Sturdy Chests located within Parhelion Plaza. You don’t need any special delves to be active in order to access them.
