Lucifron and Magmadar Raid Guide
Learn how to complete Wing 1 of Molten Core in Warcraft Rumble. Follow our suggested build and strategy for Lucifron and Magmadar.
Within the first Wing of Molten Core you will encounter Lucifron and Magmadar. This is a fairly smooth start to Molten Core with the bosses coming in at level 23 and level 24 respectively. Although there are tougher bosses in the Raid, both still require some consideration and strategy to down.
Eliminate these bosses to earn yourself a Boost Slot which can be used to upgrade one of your Leader's Army Slots so that the Mini in that slot is treated as though it is maxed out (level 20) for XP.

Maiev with Execute (also for XP farm)

This is the most versatile build against Lucifron. It can be used together with a friend for fast XP farming (attack Lucifron directly) or in the open queue to carry other players at a significantly lower level (take the Towers).
If you use it for XP farming, Dark Iron Miner is the flex slot where you can use the mini you want XP for.
Important Talents
Bloodthirsty on Execute adds more damage when used near Unbound minis.
Infectious Swipes on Harpies are important to add more damage to take out Fire Elementals and Molten Giants.
Strategy
If XP farming with a friend:
Ignore the Dominator Lieutenants and Towers and beat Lucifron with Unbound minis. Take turns sending Whelp Eggs and Quilboar: deploy the Whelp Eggs first, and when Lucifron is shooting at the Eggs, deploy the Quilboar on the opposite side, closer to Lucifron. As the Eggs are popped, Lucifron will search for a new target and now that the Quilboar is the closest target, Lucifron will turn towards it.
Defend with Harpies as needed.
If playing in the open queue:
Use Quilboar or Dark Iron Miner to distract a Dominator Lieutenant. Use Execute and Worgen to take it down.
Defend with Harpies as needed.
Capture the Towers and then attack Lucifron. Save gold for the phase transition, be ready to Execute the Dominator Lieutenant. Wait until the Dominator Lieutenant is close to the Tower and hit both the Tower and the Dominator with the Execute before the Tower is fully constructed after a phase transition.
Repeat the process of taking out the Dominators, capturing the Towers, and then attacking Lucifron three times, and you’re done.

If your Execute is lower level than Lucifron, it may be worth it to leave it out. If you have a good Execute, you should bring the Execute build.
Important Talents

Repeat the process of taking out the Dominators, capturing the Towers, and then attacking Lucifron three times, and you’re done.

Important Talents
Explosive Shells on Anub’arak is mandatory to have enough damage output from the Beetles.
Bloodthirsty on Execute adds more damage when used near Unbound minis.
Strategy
Use Quilboar to distract a Dominator Lieutenant. Use Unbound minis to take it down.
Capture the Towers and then attack Lucifron. Save gold for the phase transition, be ready to play your Anub’arak and to Execute the Dominator Lieutenant. Wait until the Dominator Lieutenant is close to the Tower and hit both the Tower and the Dominator with the Execute before the Tower is fully constructed after a phase transition.
Repeat the process of taking out the Dominators, capturing the Towers, and then attacking Lucifron three times, and you’re done.

Boss Strategy

STRATEGY
- Both players should nuke down the 'Dominator Lieutenants' that are mind-controlling your units by dropping Unbounds (Eggs, Pilot) and Spells (Execute) on them.
- Save Maiev for the Dominator Lieutenants that spawn at the start of each intermission. She should cost 1g or so at that point and you can combine with a Pilot + Execute to immediately decimate it.
- Push the boss once you have the Dominator Lieutenants down but don't overcommit since everything will get cleared at the end of each phase.
- Rinse and Repeat.

Important Talents
Celestial Focus on Eclipse gives more levels to Starfall.
Moonfury on Earth and Moon further improves Starfall damage.
Pick Lock on Defias Bandits increases your income from chests.
Splashing Pumpkins on Plague Farmer enable it to outrange Towers.
Strategy
Take control of the Towers, which also gives you control over both chests. Note that you can use Defias Bandits also on your partner’s side, if they have captured the Tower, as you can get them to walk to the chest from the Tower’s side.
Cast Eclipse followed by Starfall on Magmadar. It is important that you do not get the two Cenarion spells out of sync: you want the bonus level spell to always be Starfall. If you need to use spells for defense early on, re-sync them so that you will get the full damage on the boss.
Bonus points for dropping Whelp Eggs behind Magmadar: Immolate pops the Eggs and Magmadar needs to turn slowly to actually hit the Whelps.
After some spell cycles, Magmadar will fall.

Sylvanas with Meat Wagon

Important Talents
Pick Lock on Defias Bandits increases your income from chests.
Filet Trebuchet on Meat Wagon allows it to outrange the Ancient Core Hound aggro radius.
Strategy
Take control of the Towers, which also gives you control over both chests. Note that you can use Defias Bandits also on your partner’s side, if they have captured the Tower, as you can get them to walk to the chest from the Tower’s side.
Use Execute on Ancient Core Hounds.
Use Ghoul to tank for your Meat Wagons and Sylvanas as needed.

Boss Strategy

STRATEGY
- This boss is one of the easiest bosses in MC so don't worry too much about your build/deck. Your core focus should be on co-ordinating with your teammate to take the Core Hounds down at the same time.
- Plague Farmer is MVP on this boss as his long-range artillery pumpkins can decimate the Core Hounds while also splashing onto Magmadar. Ensure you have your Harvest Golem tanking.
- Execute is also extremely powerful here for taking down the remaining Core Hounds before they can resurrect each other. Especially if you coordinate casting it with your teammate!
