Where to start Dastardly Duos

How Dastardly Duos Works

Once inside the instance, there will be a couple of things you want to take note of. The Image below shows where all of the important things are.

  • Vial of Healing - Gain 6% of maximum health every 6 seconds
  • Bottle of Invisibility - Turns the Player invisible until you are attacked or be attacked jumping will make you invisible again.

Xyggie Marou

Xyggie Marou is in the opening area of the arena talking to her will let you remove all the NPC party members, this will make the encounters much more difficult but you no longer have to share score with the NPCs, so you can potentially get a higher score.

Combat

Once you have buffed up, you can run towards the gates to start dastardly duos. You will get a pop up to confirm you want to start, then you get a 10 second timer. The first objective will be to clear some trash around the arena. You will notice a timer at the top starting at 5mins and it will count down if the timer reaches 0 you will not get to progress to the next stage.

Once you have completed the first adds the first two bosses will spawn, you will have to tackle both bosses at the same time. They generally do not have that many mechanics, but you can get some nasty combos where you can’t heal yourself due to stacking healing reductions.

After you have defeated the two bosses, two more will spawn and you will need to defeat them. Depending on which week we are on the event will either end here or continue.

Increasing the Timer

The timer can be increased by either clicking on the gears that spawn while you are defeating the bosses. Additionally, when you complete the dastardly duos you might occasionally receive Burner Clocks, using these items will add 30 seconds to the timer.

Earning Points

Upon completing a Dastardly Duos you will have a popup showing a breakdown of how much score you received. There are three things that contribute you your score then damage you deal to bosses and trash, how Quickly the match is complete and avoiding deaths.

Bonus score can be obtained one of two ways, the first is that occasionally Cheery bombs will spawn from the props around the arena. These that have a counter above their head, when full these will become circles that increase the amount of points you receive by 100%.

The second way to obtain bonus points is to use one of the two foods that grant bonus points when used.

The amount of points you earn does not increase the amount of rewards and are just for glory and showing off to your friends.

Rewards

Quests

Each week you will receive a new quest which is to complete a dastardly duos, this rewards a random champion track item. This quest can only be completed once on your account so if you want to get an upgrade make sure you do the quest on a character that needs the upgrade.

Completing the Dastardly Duos quest each week will rewards you with the following items:

Quest Week Reward

Completing Dastardly Duos

Every time you finish a dastardly duos you will receive a random piece of veteran warbound until equipped, this will always be the same armor type of the character you complete it on. You will also receive some items to earn more points. The first is the Burner Clock, these add 30 seconds to the timer and have a 3 minute cooldown.

The second is the Bullhorn of Calling, when used this summons an extra group of enemies that can be defeated for additional points. In week 3 and onwards the Bullhorn of Calling will instead summon an additional boss for you to tackle.
