Stat Priorities

Stats Ranking

Single Target

Crit > Versatility > Haste > Mastery

Cleave

Versatility >= Crit > Haste > Mastery

Stats Outline

Critical Strike - Just gives a chance for your attacks to do double damage, doesn’t have any special scaling with abilities this expansion.

Versatility - Increases the damage you do and reduces the damage you take. This is a stat you want because a decent amount of the damage we deal is physical and it scales with trinket damage like Dribbling Inkpod.

Haste - Reduces your swing timer speed and the global cooldown to a maximum of 0.75s. Also reduces the cooldown of abilities like Felblade, Immolation Aura, Throw Glaive, and most importantly Blade Dance.

Mastery - Increases the chaos damage we deal and our movement speed. It scales horribly compared to the other stats so we just don’t want it.

The best way to calculate stat priorities for your character is to "sim" your character

Find out how to sim

Enchants

Ring Enchants

Both Accord of Critical Strike and Accord of Versatility are likely to be used, but you will want to sim your gear to be sure which is better for you. These can change just based on if you get a piece with different stats so you want to constantly sim your character.

Weapon Enchants

Force Multiplier, Deadly Navigation, and Versatile Navigation can all be used, but again you will want to sim your gear to be sure which is better for you.

Gems

You will want one Leviathan’s Eye of Agility as it just has enough stats to be worth more than the +50 stat gems even though the scaling is worse.

For the rest of your sockets, you will want either Versatile Dark Opal or Deadly Lava Lazuli depending on what the sim says is better for you.

Consumables

Flask: Greater Flask of the Currents

Potion: Potion of Unbridled Fury

Food: Bil’Tong or Mech-Dowel’s “Big Mech” depending on what the sim says is best for you.

Augment Rune: Battle Scarred Augment Rune

Healing Potion: Abyssal Healing Potion
