Stat Priorities

Stat Ranking

With Single Target Build:

Crit > Haste > Mastery > Versatility

With Throw Glaive Build (Any Means Necessary Picked)

Crit > Mastery > Haste = Versatility

Always make sure to Sim yourself to see what stat is currently your best.

Stat Outline

Single Target:

Critical Strike scaling with Havoc is incredibly strong due to the talent Know Your Enemy.

Haste is an important stat used to increase fury regeneration and reduce cooldown timers and global cooldown timers.

Mastery has pretty good scaling in single target and AoE; however, without Any Means Necessary, it falls a bit in value, putting the stat on par with Haste.

Versatility falls behind due to the damage scaling being the worst in single target for Havoc; however, it does come with a nice survivability benefit.

Mythic+

Critical Strike scaling with Havoc is incredibly strong due to the talent Know Your Enemy.

Mastery scales incredibly well in AOE due to the high amount of Chaos Damage the kit has; additionally, the pairing with Any Means Necessary makes it incredibly powerful.

Versatility comes third in mythic+ because it falls behind in scaling; however, the survivability benefit is great.

Haste comes last in AOE, as its primary value is gained in single-target situations.

IMPORTANT! Always make sure to Sim yourself to see what stat is currently your best.

The best way to calculate stat priorities for your character is to "sim" your character. Method Raider Jaerv has written a series of Metafy articles to help!

How to Sim in World of Warcraft

Races

Demon Hunter only has two race options that being Blood Elf and Night Elf.

The best Demon Hunter race is Blood Elf due to the 1% crit (from Arcane Acuity) and Arcane Torrent which can help you if you get starved on Fury.

However, Night Elves do gain the Shadowmeld spell which can situationally be very powerful in a Mythic+ environment.

The differences between the races are minuscule and I'd recommend picking whichever you prefer.

Enchants

Weapon raid: 2x Wafting Devotion

Weapon Mythic+: 2x Sophic Devotion

Chest: Enchant Chest - Waking Stats

Rings: Enchant Ring - Devotion of Critical Strike

Legs:  Fierce Armor Kit

Cloak: Enchant Cloak - Graceful Avoidance

Bracers: Enchant Bracer - Devotion of Avoidance

Boots: Watcher’s Loam

Belt: Shadowed Belt Clasp

Always make sure to Sim yourself to see what stat is currently your best.

Gems

Primalist Gem (1 unique): Inscribed Illimited Diamond

Sensei’s Alexstraszite ( Crit > Mastery) or Crafty Alexstraszite ( Crit > Haste ) depending on your current stat values and if you focus on raid or Mythic+.

Note: Gems that provide 2x offstats give an additional amount of stats overall.

Always make sure to Sim yourself to see what stat is currently your best.

Consumables

Flask: Iced Phial of Corrupting Rage is the best flask however it comes with some negative side effects so if you want to be safer use Phial of Elemental Chaos.

Potion: Elemental Potion of Ultimate Power / Elemental Potion of Power (cheaper but weaker)

Healing Potion: Refreshing Healing Potion

Food: Grand Banquet of the Kalu’ak / Thousandbone Tongueslicer (cheaper but weaker)

Sharpening Stones: Buzzing Rune
