Stat Priorities

Stat Ranking

Agility > Critical Strike > Mastery > Haste > Versatility

The stat priorities for both Hero Trees are very similar, but they do have minor differences. Fel-Scarred tends to favor Mastery to a larger extent, while Aldrachi Reaver leans more towards Critical Strike.

    Stat Outline

Havoc Demon Hunters have Agility as their primary stat. It increases your Attack Power, making your abilities do more damage.

Critical Strike is very powerful for Havoc Demon Hunter due to its many interactions with the stat, such as Know Your Enemy.

Mastery increases your Chaos Damage dealt, with options to increase your movement speed as well. With a lot of Havoc’s damage being Chaos, Mastery scales well.

Haste increases our melee attack speed, reduces the global cooldown, and reduces the cooldown of some abilities. With melee auto-attack damage buffed massively in Midnight, and Demon Blades being a large part of Havoc’s Fury generation, Haste gains more value.

Versatility provides a flat Damage and Healing increase, while also providing Damage Reduction at half the value.

    Races

Demon Hunter now has three playable races: Blood Elf, Night Elf and Void Elf.

The differences in damage output are minimal, so my recommendation is to play whichever race you prefer the most.

Night Elf tends to be more favored in Mythic+ due to the value of Shadowmeld, but all of them are equally playable.

    Enchants

Cloak: Enchant Cloak - Chant Of Winged Grace

Chest: Enchant Chest - Crystalline Radiance

Bracers: Enchant Bracer - Chant Of Armored Avoidance

Boots: Enchant Boots - Scout's March for Speed or Enchant Boots - Defender's March for Stamina

Legs: Stormbound Armor Kit (Charged Armor Kit if you want to play both Havoc and Devourer)

Rings: Enchant Ring - Radiant Critical Strike

    Weapon: 2x Enchant Weapon - Council's Guile

Always sim your own character to get a clearer picture on which enchants and gems to choose.

    Gems

Culminating Blasphemite provides Primary stat and increases Critical Effect per unique gem color.

Due to this gem, you also want to optimize the Critical Effect it provides by having each gem color socketed:

Once you have your Culminating Blasphemite and one of each of the gems listed above socketed, you can fill the rest of your sockets with Masterful Ruby.

Note: You want to use gems that give 2 different secondary stats due to them providing more stats than the single secondary stat gems.

Always sim your own character to get a clearer picture on which enchants and gems to choose.

    Consumables

Food: Beledar's Bounty or The Sushi Special

    Phials: Flask Of Alchemical Chaos

    Potions: Tempered Potion

    Health Potion: Invigorating Healing Potion

Weapon Oil: 2x Algari Mana Oil

    Runes: Crystallized Augment Rune
