Stat Priorities
The Stat priority for Augmentation Evoker is pretty similar to Devastation Evoker.
Mastery > Crit/Haste > Versatility
In general, you’ll be going for the highest item level, as your intellect also increases your party’s/raid’s damage due to Ebon Might. Mastery is by far our best secondary stat. Even around 8k+ mastery where diminishing returns apply, mastery outperforms all other secondary stats.
Augmentation Evoker Stat Outline
Intellect - This is your primary stat, it simply increases the damage of your spells. However, due to the nature of Augmentation Evoker, it is even more important as your intellect directly increases the main stat of your allies affected by your Ebon Might ability.
Mastery - Our Mastery: Timewalker does 2 things. Firstly, whenever we use an empowered ability we will grant them versatility based on our total mastery, this buff is called Shifting Sands. Additionally, our mastery also increases the duration of our helpful buffs (Ebon Might, Shifting Sands and Breath of Eons). Due to this, mastery is by far our most important stat.
Critical Strike - Crit simply gives your spells a chance, based on your Crit %, to make your spells do 200% damage.
Haste - This increases your spell casting speed and the tick rate of your damage over time effects (DoTs). This also works for your empowered spells.
Versatility - Probably the most simple stat, it increases all your damage and healing done while decreasing all damage taken.
The best way to calculate stat priorities for your character is to "sim" your character. Method Raider Jaerv has written a series of Metafy articles to help!
How to Sim in World of WarcraftRaces
There is only 1 available race for Evoker, and that is Dracthyr.
Enchants
The enchants section is pretty straight forward. We’re looking for Mastery and Intellect wherever it’s possible to get any of those two. Note that you can swap avoidance on your Cloak and Wrists to speed if either avoidance isn’t affecting certain spells that you have to deal with in said content, or feel like having a bit more movespeed to make dealing with mechanics easier.
Weapon - Sophic Devotion
Cloak - Enchant Cloak - Graceful Avoidance / Enchant Cloak - Homebound Speed
Chest - Waking Stats
Wrist - Enchant Bracer - Devotion of Avoidance / Enchant Bracer - Devotion of Speed
Legs - Frozen Spellthread
Rings - Devotion of Mastery
Belt - Shadowed Belt Clasp
Gems
As mentioned above, mastery is by far our best secondary stat. So your gems should all be part of the Neltharite family as these are all heavy mastery with another secondary stat.
Make sure you also get one Skillful Illimited Diamond as you can only have one of these, but it is much better than all the other gems.
Consumables
As an Augment Evoker, you will be using the following consumables.
Health Potion - Dreamwalker's Healing Potion
Food - Feasts will be your best option for food (or personal main-stat food if not feast).
Flask - So there are several options, the theoretical best will be Phial of Static Empowerment due to the main stat increase, but it is very rare you will be able to stand still for too long in both Raid and Mythic+ environments. So your realistic options are Phial of Tepid Versatility, Iced phial of Corrupting Rage and Phial of Elemental Chaos.
Augmentation Evokers scale very badly with secondary stats, but in general, Phial of Tepid Versatility will be for if you want more survivability, whereas Phial of Corrupting Rage and Phial of Elemental Chaos will be if you’re more interested in increasing your damage output.
Runes - Hissing Rune
