Restoration Druid

Patch 8.3

Some content in this guide is based on PTR/early data

Updates will be made after raid progress is finished and more accurate information is available.

Introduction

Welcome to the Restoration Druid guide written by Konah.

I have played resto druid for over 10 years and thoroughly enjoy the spec. For those looking for a quick answer on how the spec is in 8.3, I would say it still remains very strong in m+ and low to mid tier in raids.

Please note this guide was written before 8.3. I will update it, during the patch, to give the most accurate information.

What has changed

Patch 8.3

  • Mastery: Harmony healing bonus reduced by 9%. This is a pretty small nerf, it’s roughly 4% to your m+ healing and 1.5-2% of raid healing.

  • Traits - High Noon (Azerite Trait) damage reduced by 34%. Quite a minor nerf, the trait is still good for m+.

Patch 8.2.5

  • Essences - This is the new system implemented to increase player power (see further into the guide to find out what’s good and what’s not).
  • Traits - Two new traits have been added; Loyal to the End which is exceptionally strong for us, when other raid members have it, and Arcane Heart which is a mediocre trait we avoid.
  • Improved gems & enchants.
