King Bangalash Mission Guide

This guide focuses on the Heroic King Bangalash encounter in Stranglethorn Vale but also works for the normal version.

Other minis and map mechanics

King Bangalash has a huge weakness: it cannot attack flying minis at all. It is guarded by two Murloc Tidehunters that sit in the barrels next to it, but while they are sturdier than regular Murlocs, they can be killed and then Bangalash is helpless until the Murlocs respawn after 45 seconds.

The Heroic version of the King Bangalash map includes two treasure chests.

King Bangalash:

• 4000 health
• Bite Hit: 140 Physical damage, 1.4 seconds attack speed, 2.5 range, cannot hit flying minis at all

Murloc Tidehunter Guard:

• 180 health
• 90 Physical damage, 1.7 seconds attack speed, 11 range

General strategy

King Bangalash is one of the easiest and fastest Heroic missions. Simply play Whelp Eggs on top of the right Murloc barrel and as Bangalash attacks the Eggs, drop an Unbound tank to soak damage from the other Murloc. Kill the other Murloc with a spell or a S.A.F.E. Pilot.

If Bangalash does not die to the first set of Whelps, it will be helpless against the next set without its Murloc guards. Remember to play the Whelps on the right so that any minis Bangalash plays will not target them.

For defense, I like a solid tank like Footmen or Swole Troll and an area-of-effect damage dealer like Pyromancer. Deploy them as far back as possible so that they will defend your base longer.

Unbound assault. Set up defenses. Another Unbound assault if needed. Profit.
