Boss Strategy

This guide focuses on the Heroic Jin’do the Hexxer encounter in Stranglethorn Vale but also works for the normal version.

Minis in Jin’do the Hexxer’s army

  • Bat Rider - Enchanted Vials
  • Chain Lightning - Storm’s Reach
  • Darkspear Troll - Big Bad Voodoo
  • Murloc Tidehunters - Safety Bubble
  • Ogre Mage - Avarice
  • Raptors - Motivation
  • Warsong Raider - Sunder Armor

Other minis and map mechanics

Jin’do will periodically transform your minis into Chickens. The ability has a 12-second cooldown and affects minis in a radius of 4 from the main target.

Jin’do the Hexxer:

  • 4000 health (Normal: 3077 health)
  • Ranged: 256.5 Elemental damage, 1.5 seconds attack speed, 9 range (Normal: 190 Elemental damage)
  • Hex: Turns the affected minis into chickens, 30 range, 12 seconds cooldown, radius 4, will not target Whelp Eggs and cannot transform Unstoppable minis, targets the mini most in front of Jin’do (lowest turn angle) (Normal: 9 range)

General strategy

Swole Troll has made the encounter much easier than it used to be. Jin’do cannot Hex Swole Troll, but Jin’do will try if Swole Troll is in front of it, potentially saving all your other minis from Hex. Ranged minis behind Swole Troll do tend to get Hexed though.

Attack with the Swole Troll in front: take the center Tower first and then proceed to take the right Tower to gain better access to the chest on that side. From there, you can either attack Jin’do from the right side alone and add more support for your Troll as other minis may get Hexed, or you can take the left Tower too to attack Jin’do from both sides.
