Draaka Mission Guide

This guide focuses on the Heroic Draaka encounter in Ashenvale but also works for the normal version.

Minis in Draaka’s army

• Chain Lightning - Brilliant Flash
• Darkspear Troll - Headhunting
• Prowler - Predatory Instincts
• Pyromancer - Blaze of Glory
• Vultures - Tendon Rip
• Warsong Grunts - Command
• Warsong Raider - Razing Focus

Note that Command buffs the damage Beasts deal map-wide, so any time there is a Grunt alive, all of Draaka’s Beasts will deal more damage.

Warsong Raiders with Razing Focus will ignore your minis and go straight for your buildings.

Other minis and map mechanics

In Heroic, Draaka’s catapult has a long-range Fire Splash attack that attacks ground minis and buildings within a range of 30.

Draaka starts the fight with two Darkspear Trolls. In Heroic, they have the Headhunting talent. They do not respawn if killed.

Draaka:

• 4000 health
• Armored
• Vulnerable to Siege damage (+100% Siege damage taken)
• Axe Throw: 200 Physical damage, 2.3 seconds attack speed, 10 range, targets flying minis only
• Fire Splash: 250 Siege damage, 3.0 seconds attack speed, 3 radius, 30 range, targets ground minis and buildings only (Normal: 10 range)
• Draaka prioritizes attacking Flying minis with Axe Throw when selecting new targets.

General strategy

Start by attacking and capturing the right Tower. Send your minis from the right edge of the right deploy zone to keep them away from the Darkspear Trolls.

The initial Darkspear Trolls are not a major threat: as long as you don’t send them minis to kill to gain stacks of Headhunting, your base can defend against them just fine.

Warsong Raiders with Razing Focus will ignore your minis and go straight for your buildings, so you want to have ways to stun them to buy more time. Controlling the Tower is also of utmost importance to keep your base safe from Raiders.

After gaining control of the first Tower, you can start attacking the second Tower. Use the high ground on the bridge to control the path between the Towers, and distract Draaka with Earth Elemental as needed. You can also attack her with Unbound minis if you get an opportunity.
