Elden Ring: NightReign – Enhanced Darkdrift Knight Boss Guide

Everdark Sovereign Fulghor, also known as the Enhanced Darkdrift Knight, is the supercharged variant of the one-armed centaur you faced in the Darkdrift Knight Expedition. Introduced as part of the rotating Everdark Sovereign challenge, this version significantly elevates the intensity of the battle, adding new moves, increased aggression, and deadlier AoE mechanics.

Preparation & Weakness Exploits

Fulghor retains his original lightning weakness, but every attack now hits harder and faster. Equip lightning-infused gear and consider relics like the Dark Knight of Baron to maximize your damage output. Stock up on status resistance buffs as this version punishes mistimed rolls and low stamina.

Phase 1

This version of Fulghor begins in what was Phase 2 of the original. He starts attacking with seismic slams and sweeping strikes. These are quickly followed by his spear flurry and stampede, which require precise stamina management to evade.

The best way to counter the spear flurries is to time heavy attacks when Fulghor is charging the barrage, or hitting him with lightning armament. Ironeye is the best Nightfarer for this fight because he can deal Lightning damage from a distance, and his Ultimate can interrupt the charge.

Phase 2

Phase Two starts when Fulghor begins to float and is enveloped by holy light. His attacks become a lot faster during this phase, and he gets two new moves, a giant Holy Arrow targeted at a single player but with AOE, and a Rain of Arrows. Both of these attacks can take out your team if you are huddled up, so spacing is essential.

The best way to avoid the Holy Arrow is to run in the boss’ direction and roll at the last moment. If done correctly, you will have dodged the attack while also being close enough to do some damage as he recovers. Wylder and Ironeye can easily escape the attack, while Executor can parry the arrow. To avoid the arrows, keep running in the opposite direction.

Your success in this fight hinges on maintaining mid-range distance, dodging his quick attacks, and punishing stagger windows with heavy weapons. The best way to do damage during the second phase is to only attack Fulghor when he rushes you. Try saving your Ultimates and only use them when Fulghor uses charged attacks.

Conclusion

Everdark Sovereign Fulghor is a far more aggressive iteration of the original Darkdrift Knight. You can take down this Centaur if you are patient and coordinate with teammates. With reflexes, discipline, and some lightning, this enhanced boss can be bested.
