Characters & Realm

Match Rules and Workflows

This event will operate with the following workflow when communicating map selections between teams. The communication will occur in the designated match discord chat channel in the official Method Mayhem Discord server.

  • Losing Team Captain: “[Losing Team Name]’s map selection is [map]”
  • Winning Team Captain: “[map] confirmed”

Note: This workflow is in place on the second match of each series and onward on day two of the event ONLY. Day 1 map choices will be determined by spinning the wheel.

Within a series, maps cannot be played that have already been played during that series until the point where every map in the map pool has played once.

Each match has a maximum duration of 30 minutes. If a match reaches this timer, the match will be deemed a tie and will be treated as such.

In the scenario where two teams are scored evenly during the round robin stage of the tournament and there is no clear indication of there being a team that has a clearly distinguishable lead over the other team, the two teams will be required to play a rematch to determine the final standings. The map choice will be determined before each match by spinning the wheel.

In the scenario where a draw occurs during the Double Elimination stage of the tournament, both teams will be awarded 1 point.

If a member of one of the competing teams is experiencing technical issues, connection issues or anything that will deem them unable to play after entering the battleground, the respected team mates on the entire team must leave the battleground before the gates of the battleground open. Failure to do so will result in the match resuming and the result of the match counting towards the series results.

It is forbidden to use a player during the event that is not a registered member of your team, failure to comply will result in a penalization such as a re-match, series forfeit or disqualification from the entire event. The penalization will be distributed at the discretion of the tournament administration.

Each team is required to nominate a team captain, of which It is required for all team captains to add a tournament administrator to their battle.net friends list.

Any match that is planned to be live streamed, will have the wargame initiated by an event admin. If you start your match by yourself, the match result will be considered void and the series will resume from the score as it were previously. It is advisable to take screenshots of each match result, win or lose in the case that disputes are made against your team to help the administration team to determine the correct outcome.

During day 1 where the round robin will take place, the choice of map that teams will compete on in the best of 1 (Bo1) will be determined by “spin the wheel”.

All players are expected to be respectful towards one another and towards tournament staff and administrators at all times.

All players should act with good etiquette. Use of extreme profanity, racial slurs, sexist comments amongst other negative behaviour will not be tolerated and will result in expulsion from the tournament.
