Battle of Dazar'alor

Champion of the Light

Go for pure Single Target on the Boss here and only kill the adds when your raid wants to play a strategy that involves killing them.

Make sure to have an interrupt ready for the (mythic only resurrect ability) Prayer of the Fallen. Be a team player and interrupt one of the casts and you're good.

Grong, the Jungle Lord

Make sure to utilize your Careful Aim talent here. Which includes swapping to the Adds that spawn throughout the fight and having at least one Aimed Shot ready for the above 80% and below 20% health window.

Using Hunter’s Mark on the Adds can be good, but don't use it if you would lose out on an Aimed Shot during the Careful Aim window. If you can use Hunter's Mark on the adds you will receive 20 focus when they die. Also make sure to recast it on the Boss after the Adds are dead to not lose out on 5% more damage done.

If you're set into a interrupt rotation make sure to follow those. If not, take one of the early interrupt because a lot of melee classes are not fast enough to take the first one. Just be a team player and interrupt the first cast to help out your raid.

Jadefire Masters

The main goal of this fight is to kill the Monk first, so make sure to focus her down.

Make sure to save up Aimed Shot charges for when the Spirits of Xuen are about to spawn.

When you are able to cleave 3 targets, make sure to use Multi-Shot and cleave the Spirits of Xuen with the bosses. The same goes for the explosives and the orb wall.

Keep in mind you are able to soak the Magma Traps with Aspect of the Turtle to help out your raid.

Do not interrupt the Pyroblast cast early, there is no benefit to interrupting him before the cast is almost finished.

Opulence

On this boss the main goal is to execute mechanics well, your DPS on this fight is not too important.

Keep in mind you can solo the Coin Shower with Aspect of the Turtle and make use of your mobility to drop the Liquid Gold debuff far away from the group.

If you want to make sure that the adds die, hold your cooldowns for the add wave spawns.

Conclave of the Chosen

This fight is straightforward in the approach you should take:

  • Make sure to always swap to the raptors (Ravenous Stalker), they are the number one priority on this fight.
  • When your cooldowns line up with the raptors, just use it on them, it is worth delaying your cooldowns for a bit if the raptors are about to spawn.
  • When moving to the Pa'ku's Wrath safe zone, make sure to keep an eye on the frog (Krag'wa) jumping around to avoid him landing on you and possibly knocking you out of the safe zone.

Hunters also have some useful personal utility for this fight:

  • You can make use of your stuns to save teammates from dying to raptors.
  • Your Aspect of the Turtle can be used to avoid getting a bleed stack from the Kimbul’s Wrath ability, keep that in mind when you're targeted by it.

King Rastakhan

Make sure to have a smart cooldown usage on this fight, your Double Tap and Trueshot are very valuable to burst down priority targets.

Focus down the Zombie Dust Totem when it spawns.

Most of the time as a ranged you will go down (to the Death Realm) to push Bwonsamdi to 50% health. Make sure to hold your cooldowns for this phase even it if means a DPS loss in Phase 1.

Make use of your mobility spells to outrun Inevitable End. Keep in mind Aspect of the Turtle will not save you from that ability, no immunity works on it.

High Tinker Mekkatorque

This is a good fight for Hunters. Make sure to use your cooldowns after the World Enlarger cast to not get a bad timing with the shrunk.

The Shrunk debuff reduces your damage done by 99%, so there is no point in pushing damage, just go straight into the robot and follow calls.

Use disengage to prevent the knock up on the teleport cast (Mythic difficulty only).

You can use Aspect of the Turtle to prevent a lot of damage on you because it deflects the Gigavolt Blast application debuff. When you get a bomb, go behind the assigned wall and use aspect of the turtle before the Gigavolt Charge debuff runs out. This prevents you getting the Gigavolt Blast (30 second debuff), helping your raid healing requirements a lot.

This fight is all about add control and playing the mechanics correctly.

As a hunter you can blast the Tempting Siren and this should be your main priority through the fight.

Using Trueshot on them it is definitely worth it.

Aspect of the Turtle or other defensive ability should be used to drop new Sea Swells into old ones making more space on the ship. Later into the fight when the dance happens and you're not full health just use a defensive to guarantee your survival.

On the main platform, just make sure to run with your raid group and hold damage for when the Tempting Sirens spawn.

When you get the Storm’s Wail debuff in the beginning of phase 2 make sure to drop it as far away as possible so your raid has the most uptime on the boss.

Use Disengage to break the root caused by Ring of Ice.

As a hunter you are the perfect class to do the Ballistas on the side of the boat. If you want to be a team player, make sure to grab that job if it's not already assigned to healers.

It's important on this fight to look out for the Blizzard bar and time your cooldowns accordingly. Don't use your cooldowns right before you hit 100 energy, this will limit your vision and you are not gonna be able to play out your full cooldown duration.

Do not waste DPS cooldowns in the intermission, it is way more valuable to hold them for later to burst for example the barrel or a player in an ice block.

Make sure to have your cooldowns back up for when the wall spawns as MM Hunters are strong DPS on the wall, giving you the opportunity to blast it.

When using Trueshot on the Wall of Ice you will get it back when the boss is under 20%. For perfect use, just wait slightly and use your Trueshot after you move (as a raid) for the Glacial Ray, then it's time to blast.

Aspect of the Turtle can be used to prevent becoming an ice block in any phase so it is a valuable cooldown.

The use of defensive abilities and consumables is really important, so make sure to have Survival of the Fittest back up going into last phase as well as your health potion and health stone.
