You want to look out for Blood Shroud which makes this boss go immune. Don’t use any long cooldowns right before, as you won’t have them after the intermission for some time.

Whenever Sludgefist reaches 100 energy he will target a player and charge in their direction. This player will want to get behind a pillar so the boss smashes into it. When Sludgefist smashes into the pillar he gains Destructive Impact which makes him take 100% more damage for 12 seconds. You will want to line up your cooldowns for when he is vulnerable as it really makes a difference. After the 2nd/3rd pillar you want to use Aspect of the Turtle to dodge Chain Slam + Chain Bleed + Colossal Roar after that you can cancel Turtle and keep doing damage.
1st Pillar: Bloodshed + Bestial Wrath
2nd Pillar: Bloodshed + Aspect of the Wild + Wild Spirits + Bestial Wrath
3rd Pillar: Bloodshed + Bestial Wrath

You want to save Disengage for Wicked Blade as you don’t want to be near the raid so they don’t get hit by it. You can use Disengage or Soulshape after the Shattering Blast knockback to get back on the arena.
Talents: You could also use Killer Instinct if going for full damage into boss with execute.
You can make the Intermission with 3 stacks or less of Burden of Sin, but with 3 you will need some extra movement speed like Soulshape or Stampeding Roar right before.
