Essence : Memory of Lucid Dreams

In Mythic difficulty there is a stacking debuff when you move so don’t move around needlessly. This debuff gets reset by using Bladestorm and also when the boss is done with phase 1. In phase 2 scales fall from Wrathion and you need to have someone pick them up and run over the shards.

DPS wise it is mostly single target with some cleave on the spikes. Try to have a Memory of Lucid Dreams ready for the execute phase, but this is a long fight so you are likely able to use it more often than just pull and execute.

Essence : Memory of Lucid Dreams

When Maut casts Stygian Annihilation you need to be in one of the void zones since they make you immune to the damage. On mythic difficulty there is also a curse that kills you when it runs out, but going into the void zone removes the curse. There is a phase where the boss will go to the middle and channel, while doing that he reflects damage back to you, so be careful.

DPS wise, it is single target, but there are adds that can steal your Infinite Stars stacks, also Infinite stars could kill you during the reflection phase so I would recommend playing something else.

Essence : Memory of Lucid Dreams

There are waves of adds spawning from the side that you can't touch, or you die. Those adds can be CC'd, things like Ring of Peace and Mass entanglement are very strong. There is a single add that spawns from a player that will instantly do a cast that does a lot of damage if you are close to it when the cast finishes. After the initial cast, go and kill that add.

In phase 2, the boss casts a lot of illusionary projections and you have to find which Prophet Skitra is the real one. Half the raid will have Clouded Mind and half will have Twisted Mind, and if people with either debuff see a Prophet Skitra at the same position then it is the right one.

In Mythic difficulty the Clouded/Twisted Mind mechanic is also present in Phase 1, and not everyone can see the adds.

DPS wise this is a single target boss with occasional 2 target cleave.

Essence : Memory of Lucid Dreams

The boss may make a copy of your soul near you and you need to make sure that when the soul explodes you are far away from it.

There will be large pies of the room that glow purple and do damage after a few seconds, try to be close to the middle of the room to be able to easily move into safe zones.

The boss will cast Void Ritual occasionally, three people will have to participate and play football. Two portals appear, one where a ball appears and one where the ball needs to go to. By touching the ball it goes in the direction you are facing. It is not allowed to touch any other players than those participating, and it is not allowed to touch any other part of the encounter such as the obelisks.

In Mythic difficulty there is an add spawn whenever you touch the ball, so you have to do it in as few touches as possible.

DPS wise it is a single target boss with occasional 2 target cleave. Depending on your kill time you might be able to cleave during execute and if that is the case I recommend popping your Memory of Lucid Dreams when the Void Ritual cast is happening, and using Sweeping Strikes after the initial Colossus Smash fades.

Essence : Memory of Lucid Dreams

The bosses switch between having to be stacked and having to be spread. There are a lot of adds spawning sometimes that you should kill. Sometimes an add will get buffed and becomes more important to kill, or if you don’t kill it you have to soak the damage with cooldowns.

When the bosses are spread the adds will start to heal when below 20% hp and you may need to coordinate some burst damage to finish them off.

DPS wise it is a 1 or 2 target fight with burst aoe and some semi-spread cleave.

Essence : Memory of Lucid Dreams

There are some splashes you need to avoid on the ground. There is an add spawning that fixates on someone, don't be close to it when it explodes or move out of the group if you are fixated. On Mythic difficulty those adds are needed to feed the boss, never let him reach 10 stacks.

A lot of guilds bloodlust the second phase around 2 minutes into the fight on mythic difficulty.

DPS wise it is a single target boss.

Drest'agath

Essence: Memory of Lucid Dreams

You are not able to do damage to the boss without picking up some purple blobs that drop from defeated minions of the boss.

There is a debuff that causes you to stun yourself and everyone around you when it runs out, make sure you are alone. You should get dispelled when stunned. This spell happens to more people if there are Maws alive.

When the boss does his AoE, any Tentacles alive will also do it. When the boss does his Laser beam, any Eyes alive will also do it. Be extra careful if there are multiple adds up since you can get hit by several big AoEs, or there can be several lasers being cast.

DPS wise it is mostly single target, make sure that you pick up the purple blobs that allow you to kill Drest’agath as often as you can. When you can't damage the boss, try to always damage the add that is getting debuffed by the tank; the tank is able to make minions more vulnerable and make you do more damage.

Talents: You can use either between Massacre or Fervor of Battle and between Bounding Stride or Defensive Stance.

Don’t stand in front of the boss. If you get fixated try to kite the fire in smart ways, such as into previously spawned fire to reduce the overall space you are taking up. Don’t walk into players that are charmed, you will also become charmed if you do.

Interrupt the Organs in phase 2.

DPS wise it is single target into a more cleave heavy fight as it goes on and more Blood of Ny'alotha spawns.

Vexiona

Essence : Memory of Lucid Dreams

The big add can shoot lasers that should go towards the small adds, so be careful where you stand. You can also get dragged into the adds, and one of them will then do an AoE attack that will kill you if you stand in it. You can get targeted by a debuff that drops a pool behind when it drops, try to drop it where it will not bother you later in the fight.

In phase 2 the dragon will breathe fire from above.

In phase 3 you need to remain within 6 yards of other players or your haste is reduced by 100%. Vexiona does a big AoE that does reduced damage further away. Make sure you remain stacked when running away from the boss. There is an additional debuff in the last phase that you need to soak with at least 3 players.

DPS wise it is mostly 1-2 targets and some AoE, the main challenge DPS-wise is single target damage in the last phase so optimize for that.

Ra-den the Despoiled

Essence : Memory of Lucid Dreams

Depending on which orb you kill the boss becomes empowered with different spells. If you let the vita through you get Unstable Vita which jumps to the furthest away target when the debuff runs out. If you let the void through then you get Unstable Void which is small pools that you need to soak. If you let through the nightmare then you get big red circles that do damage and jump to the closest player when expired. You can only deal with 1 mechanic per orb rotation since when you take damage from the Unstable Vita for example you get a debuff that increases damage taken.

You also get an add with every orb you let through. The Void Hunter casts Void Collapse on a target close to him, a common tactic is to have everyone unable to solo soak the Void Collapse run out of melee before he casts it to track the cooldown of the spell through Bigwigs or a weakaura.

In the last phase you get a debuff where you are chained to other players and you need to move 40 yards away from them. He also does a lot of AoE damage and spawns avoidable zones on the ground that do a lot of damage.

Carapace of N'Zoth

Essence : Memory of Lucid Dreams

There is a sanity mechanic in this fight, if you ever get 0 sanity, you get a small damage buff for a while, and then you get mind controlled. If the boss is almost dead, you can let yourself get 0 sanity for a damage increase, but in the earlier phases you need to make sure to never go to 0. Wrathion is here to help you, if you go to him he will restore your sanity.

In phase 1 there is a gaze worm tentacle spawning that casts Breed Madness, do not interrupt unless the target of Breed Madness would die otherwise. In mythic you would make sure to interrupt this just before the Adaptive Membrane shield gets applied.

Big tentacles will smash down and kill you if you stand where they will hit. You can tell where they will hit based on a shadow that starts showing a few seconds before the tentacles comes. When they come down they stay down, and start spawning adds. You need to kill the growths on the tentacle in order to make it go away and stop spawning adds.

In phase 2 you go and kill a few synthesis growths at the sides of the room to make the boss able to be attacked again. It is best to be quick since the boss gets healed. The boss puts a bomb on players and does a cone attack in this phase on heroic.

In phase 3 the big shadow tentacles are back, except you don't need to kill growths on them this time. There are more small adds spawning like in phase 1.

DPS wise the boss is mostly single target with some low target cleave and burst AoE. Generally go for higher single target damage when you plan how you will use your cooldowns.

N'Zoth the Corruptor

Essence : Memory of Lucid Dreams

The same sanity effect from Carapace is here again, except instead of Wrathion helping you out you can restore sanity with your Heart of Azeroth. On mythic difficulty your necklace restores sanity as an AoE effect with a small radius, so you need to coordinate with your raid when you use it.

Psychus will spawn in phase 1 and phase 2 when you go through the mindgate. You need to kill tentacles close to him in order to get a stacking damage taken debuff, and after you killed some number of tentacles you switch to Psychus and finish him off. If this phase is hard or you want to look good on damage meters you should time your cooldowns to the end of the phase when Psychus has as many damage taken debuffs as possible.

In phase 3 don’t drop Evoke Anguish at bad spots, the Anguish pools will grow later and become a problem.

DPS wise it is a lot of low target cleave and single target, with some AoE as well on mythic.

Talents: Bounding Stride or Defensive Stance

Your movement, from the start of the fight could look something like this:

  • Start on the first Pufferfish you kill and then charge the boss after the fish is dead and you have the healing debuff (Bioluminescence). When you are about to kill the second Pufferfish, or earlier if it's not dying quickly enough, charge out and attack the Pufferfish before its dead.
  • On the second platform, again start on the Pufferfish and when you have gotten the healing debuff use Heroic Leap and Charge to get back to attacking the boss. When you need to go for the second Pufferfish, Heroic Leap or Gateway and Charge out before the fish is dead so you can actually Charge it, and then use Heroic Leap or Gateway and Charge to get back to the boss. If you don’t have a gateway from a warlock then you will have to go swimming for a bit.
  • The third platform can be played much like the first, since the Pufferfish are pretty close to the boss.

Make sure you have Memory of Lucid Dreams for the execute phase. If using Cleave then just use it during the add phases on CD and make sure you hit all the adds with it, it has a short range.

Essence: Memory of Lucid Dreams or Condensed Life-Force.

Talents: Second Wind or Defensive Stance and Collateral Damage or Warbreaker or Cleave.

If you are trying to kill the boss in 2 vulnerable phases and are struggling with the DPS check, then Condensed Life-Force is a better option than the standard Memory of Lucid Dreams.

You may want to use the Massacre talent if the boss gets a shield between 20% and 35% health.

Essence: Memory of Lucid Dreams, Blood of the Enemy or Essence of Focusing Iris

Talents: Collateral Damage or Cleave

If going for AoE damage then use Cleave and turn to apply Deep Wounds to all of the adds on Cleave cooldown. If the adds are close to the boss you can hit the boss and the adds at the same time with Cleave.

When you go down to phase 2, use Colossus Smash right away and attack a long time before you interrupt the boss cast, that way you will have Colossus Smash ready at more convenient times later on.

The adds that spawn from summoners in later phases are very important to focus and kill quickly to prevent you getting overrun. Make sure you are cleaving them and if needed single target an add with low stacks.

Phase 1 is trivial, do not use anything that doesn’t come back up in time for when you want it in Phase 2. An example being not using a second Memory of Lucid Dreams.

In Phase 3, play it safe by line-of-sighting every Spear that shatters the shields. When you Bladestorm tag the boss with it also to apply Deep Wounds to everything. Depending on the positioning you might also be able to multidot it in general; for example, use Execute when you're able to and Mortal Strike on the mob with the highest health. You should also try to find an opportunity to get Sweeping Strikes Execute cleaves.

Since you don’t really have cooldowns as Arms unless you spec for Avatar, I would play this fight like any other and basically ignore Promises of Power in your playstyle. This means you should get the buff when you can but don’t save anything for it, except perhaps a Bladestorm if you will reliably get high stacks at some point.

Always use Sweeping Strikes and Colossus Smash together.

Arms should be good on this fight since it is 2 target cleave mostly, but Arms is tuned to do pretty low damage so I would consider going Fury anyway.

Most likely you should play Fury on this fight.

The adds spawning in phase 2 come at 1 minute intervals and so I would save Bladestorm for the adds. They often spawn spread apart and so it will be hard hit them all, you will probably have to settle for a Bladestorm hitting 2-3 targets sometimes.

You should spec Fervor of Battle to start and then when you work on phase 3 switch to Massacre.

It is possible to cleave the Undying Guardians with Sweeping Strikes. If your guild positioned the adds to enable cleave I would consider going Collateral Damage for higher single target damage, especially in the last phase.

I would recommend playing Fury on this fight.

If you stay Arms then I would save Bladestorm on the pull for the first adds, then use it once in-between add waves and then keep it for the adds. Often you will be able to hit 2 targets with the Bladestorm. You might also be able to Sweeping Strikes if you stand in between the adds.

You can play either Arms or Fury on this fight.

Many guilds use their bloodlust at different times on this fight and so it is hard to give general advice. The exact timing of when adds spawn are different, but if possible have Bladestorm ready for the Spirit of Xuen spawns and when you clear the Barriers.

You can play Arms or Fury on this fight.

  • Arms: for AoE in phase 2
  • Fury: if you think single target is more important for your group.

Just do your normal single target rotation, except be careful with using Bladestorm towards the very end of Phase 1 so that you have Bladestorm ready for the first set of adds - keep it if you think Phase 1 is done within 25 seconds. The adds will come once every minute and make sure that you have Warbreaker and Bladestorm ready for it.

I would play Fury on this fight, but if you play Arms:

How you would play Phase 1 depends on your traits and how long it lasts for your raid. If you have single target traits with Test of Might then most likely you start the fight with Warbreaker and Sweeping Strikes, Bladestorm during Test of Might, and then have your second use of Sweeping Strikes for cleaving Execute.

In Phase 2 you will have Bladestorm ready for every other Totem and Sweeping Strikes ready for all of them.

In Phase 3 make sure you have Bladestorm ready for the Phantom adds, my guild will CC all of them at the start, then after a minute kill them all, so I just save Bladestorm after they spawned.

I would play Fury on this fight.

  • Just do your normal single target rotation.
  • On Mythic try to have Heroic Leap ready in case you get thrown up with the teleport (Miscalculated Teleport), you can also charge the boss.

Just blast the bosses doing your normal single target thing and switch on adds if the timing is so that you are not dropping bad Sea Swells. If Sea Swell is coming up, it might be better to just leave the adds to the ranged, unless they seem to be struggling to bring the adds down in time and then you should help anyway.

You can play Arms or Fury on this fight.

DPS-wise the important part of the fight is the last phase, if you play Troll make sure to not use Berserking late in Phase 2 or you will not get it back.

In the last phase use Sweeping Strikes together with Colossus Smash so that you get the rage refund from the talent during the Colossus Smash window, it will allow you to get bigger Test of Might buffs.

It might be the case that the add is dying because of too much damage. I would then recommend going back to Fury.
