Tier Set
- 2-piece - Vile taint cooldown reduced by 5 seconds and phantom singularity cooldown reduced by 12 seconds. Vile taint and phantom singularity damage increased by 60%.
- 4-piece - Enemies damaged by vile taint or phantom singularity gain Infirmity for its duration and enemies damaged by vile taint gain infirmary for 10 seconds, increasing damage taken by 10%
The tier set is pretty decent and it gives you the ability to cast 2x phantom singularity per minute, which lines up better with soulrot and darkglare. However, vile taint is most likely to be played due to the frequent shard generation from talents like tormented crescendo or additional agony targets.
Embellishments
Recommended Embellishments:
- 2x Shadowflame-Tempered Armor Patch for most raid situations
- Azureweave Set in heavy AoE environments
Shadowflame is the strongest option in single target but loses out in AoE where the raw intellect proc from the Azureweave Set allows for more damage.
Recommended Crafted Gear
Crafting Priority in Single Target:
- Main-Hand Weapon such as Primal Molten Spellblade
- Vibrant Wildercloth Slippers with Shadowflame-Tempered Armor Patch
- Any other Vibrant Wildercloth armor piece with Shadowflame-Tempered Armor Patch
Crafting Priority in AoE:
- Main-Hand Weapon such as Primal Molten Spellblade
- Azureweave Slippers
- Azureweave Mantle
Main-hand weapon generally provides the best Shadowflame Spark to dps ratio followed by Vibrant Wildercloth Slippers (ST) or Azureweave Slippers (AoE) as the first set of boots don’t drop until the middle boss of the raid, Rashok. Furthermore, they have poor secondary stats.
The other boots that can be obtained in the raid drop Neltharion, these are better than the earlier ones, but will be obtained late and are at the same level as max crafted slippers. The second shadowflame embellishment is flexible and should be put on a piece that would provide the biggest upgrade.
Azureweave Mantle is better than Azureweave Robe due to the secondary stats. However, if you would obtain raid 4pc by equipping tier shoulders, you should value this over the better secondary stats provided by choosing Azureweave Mantle over Azureweave Robe. The best way to see which items are the most beneficial to spend your spark craft on would be to sim your character.

- Ominous Chromatic Essence (BiS if you have all buffs)
- Neltharion’s Call to dominance
- Vessel of Searing Shadow
On Use Trinkets:
- Spoils of Neltharus
- Rotcrusted voodoo doll (single target)
- Beacon to the Beyond (single target)
Combination of Neltharion’s Call to dominance and Spoils of Neltharus can make affliction one of the best Power Infusion targets in the game.
